  • [:I]hehe
  • do u guys like mack ing model trains go head on and crash i use 2 crappy ones and GO BOOOOMMMM!!!!!
  • It blew today! I was only at Berea for 25 minutes, yet I still managed to get four trains in.

One of which being a pair of CSX SD70MACs with flared radiators. But I missed this train because of my camera's batteries dying right on Q..... Then I had shots of two Norfolk Southern trains. One pulled by a NS Cat Fish and a lousy BNSF C44-9W. The other was another NS Cat Fish with a standard Conrail painted C40-8W.

The final train was the Wheeling & Lake Erie's runthrough through Berea which is symbolized NS 707 on the "to" trip and 708 on the "return" trip.

Then we headed on down to Medina. There were no locos parked there. My mom went into the antique mall across from the spot that I take photos from. And what do you know.....while I was waiting in the car, all of the sudden big WLE 4018 pulls up, crosses the road and couples to a UTLX Tank Car. Man that was a fluke. There is roughly about 3 trains a day in Medina, and while I'm sitting there, one comes, what are the chances?

Tomorrow I'm going with my friend (Jonathan) to Berea all day. Hopefully we'll get some more deliveries. I want to see an eight-loco delivery set, all Heritage III ES44AC. Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing that in CP either.

I'll post my photos from tomorrow on my unicapital site in my sig. So be sure to check my photos out before 24 hours after I upload them. The link is under newest photos, if the time does expire before you check them out, just go to the last page of Berea.

Anyways, Oskar, Here are my stats. updated:

Yesterday I got back from Greenville,SC for 2 hockey games and also got to see some trains. I followed the old Clinchfield from Spartanburg to Bostic,NC. Only saw 2 trains 1 transfer in Spartanburg and 1 in Bostic. There is a way to get in the yard in Bostic with out going on their property but didn't find out. On the way back went thourgh Greenwood,SC and saw trains some things were 2 UP's leading a auto train, about 6 engine lash up, GEFX (I think),HLCX (blue and white), CR painted GP38-2, along with many other CSX's.

    In other News
After a Greenville Grrrowl (37-20-3) 3-2 loss against The Augusta Lynx (25-29-4) a Greenville fan after the game went into the parking lot and found Referee Austin Zerkel's car. Then what did he do? Flatened Zerkel's right side tires on his car. Nobody knows who did it but could face charges if found. Greenville fans and Augusta's hate Zerkel (other teams hate him and other refs) but nobody has gone this far to mess with a referee's car.

Just thought I would let you know about this

  • Well that is a lot of UPs, I thought that SC was NS territory.
  • The UP's were on a auto train the 6 engine lash up was a freight with 2 leasers and 4 CSX's. NS runs in South Carolina but not just NS. CSX, Pickens, Pee Dee River RR, and many other short lines run in South Carolina.

  • QUOTE: Dingoix, have you seen the IC E units CN is running in freight service?
I saw that on page 17 of the March Trains. I sure wish someone would make a model of one in that scheme.
  • I have personally been IN the IC 101, as has Kale I believe.

  • Well, good night everyone. Have a good day tomorrow, if I don't get to check in tomorow.

  • Two words: Oh yeah! While my father is looking for a house, he came across a beautiful one in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. And guess what.....the CSX "New Castle Sub" runs right at the end of the property. My father better move into that house! We caught two trains while there for about 20 minutes.

    One lead by a UP C44ACCTE. The other by a CSX AC6000CW (604) and SD60M (8761).

Also, the Akron, OH Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway Yard was packed tonight. It had:

WE 6382 (EMDX Paint), WE 6312 (EMDX Paint), WE 104 (Rio Grande Style Lettering), WE 4000 (CN Paint), WE 3049 (Rio Grande Style Lettering), WE 2645 (Southern Paint), WE 2651 (Southern Paint), WE 200 (Ohio Bicentennial Unit) and the little ABCR 1502 (Rio Grande Style Lettering).

At Berea today with my friend (it was raining, so we only stayed to see ten), we caught an amazing lash - up! It had:

    Santa Fe C40-8W (Warbonnet)
    HLCX SD40-2CLC (Maroon w/ Blue)
    BNSF H1 SD40-2
    RLCX B39-8E (former GECX)
    Five Brand-New ES44AC BNSF H3s (5908-5912)

Nine locomotives and a good/awesome line - up!

Also, today I saw CSX 8206, the "Spirit of Bush" for my third time. Amazing.

The lash-up it was on was lead by a UP C45ACCTE. Then a NS C40-8. CSX 8206, and then CSX 8024. Pretty nice!

    Oskar-

Here are a few other things I've seen:

UP 2001-2002: three times for UP 2001
    UP 3300: none
    GCFX 3072 (Alstom Demo): twice
    NS 3329 (Maersk Sealand): once
NS 2867- If correct (C.A.T. Unit): none
    NS 9253 (O.L.S. 25th Anniv.): once
CSX 1 (Spirit of West Virginia): once
    MRL ???? (O.L.S.): once
CSX 9120-9122: Five Sightings, all three units
    CSX 4617: once

That should be enough out of me tonight. Talk later!
