TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • Not to get into the little argument between Richard and Alec, but IMHO, Alec, you should calm down a little. I have to say I agree with Richard in this situation.

  • well guys, bad news ive been grounded off the home computer for a unlimmated amount of time, looks like the only posting ill be posting is from school but in computer class we dont get on the internet offten so dont be suprised too much if im not around for a while the reson that i was grounded was GRADES [:(]
LETS GO TIGERS! (clap, clap, clap clap clap )
  • Oscaletrains that really sucks. I would be a little grumpy if I was not able to go on the internet for a while. You will rarely see me on here in the summer. I never bring my laptop down the shore, and probably never will. My dad always brings his, but I will only use it to check my email, and occasionally drop in to say hey. But I am usually pretty busy when I am down the shore, and I have a job for the rest of the time that I am here at home.

  • So what's going on here, what did I miss? But I really don't think that Richard should give up his account..what is this about? And if I can correctly understand any of this, people are offended by practically everything nowadays..
Tommy, sorry to ehar about that, just work hard and for god's sake, NEVER go into the lower classes! That's death, and that's where I'm headed next period. Bah.
Alec, are you sure that's not a GP40? And where/when did you see that?
And everyone, my forum is voting on the first photo contest now, http://s3.phpbbforfree.com/forums/hickssforum-about90.html and I appear to be owning. That is to say winning. And I am going to get one of my ebst photos ever scanned in pretty soon, I can't wait to show you guys! In the meantine, why isn't anyone here posting on my forum?
So I might have mentioned earlier that I joined a church choir, and I know Jim knows, and yesterday we had a concert with tickets and all, and nobody thought to tell me. So I found myself in a concert hall (A church with a HORRIBLE choir loft the size and shape of a school bus with an SUV jammed through the middle) holding my music surrounded by people from the last 2 generations and singing Libera me domine and so on and so on..It was an experience, one that caused me to fall behind on my homework.. So. Time to stop talking and get to it!

  • Alright, I'm going to intervene.

Richard, Alec is right. Grow a bit of skin. Once you get older, and head out into the "real" world, you will find yourself down and out if you get upset about small things such as that. Everyone has an opinion, and there's really not much anyone can do about it. It will really help you in the long run if you don't let small things, such as a comment about Conrail or GE, get in your way of living.

Also, "Breakingbenjamin4444" acted like a troll. He got run off, and for good reason. If he is back as a new member, then I applaud him for not being inflamatory.

As for your photos, I like them. I haven't seen a Chessie here in years, much less two of them. Also, don't delete your account. There's no need.

To all posters in this thread: Calm down a bit. You're heading downhill, and if it gets much worse, this place is going out with an explosion and fireball. And this time, there probably won't be a second chance.

  • Alec and Richard,

Please, if the two of you feel the need to argue, take it out of the forum, and try e-mailing each other. That way we don't have to see it, and we won't end up feeling the consequences of it, like with the old Teen Railfan Place.

Richard, Please don't take a huge offense to this, but you need to learn to shrug things off. Don't take every comment made on these forums personally. After all, very few of us know you personally, so how can we make truely personal comments? Instead, just take them as a joke and forget about it. It's just the way it works. If I were to take everything that was posted personally and I started posting away and arguing with other people, I would have very few friends on the forum.

Please, we don't want to see either of you guys leave the forum, you both post valuble information and are good members of the forum. You just both need to calm down a little.

Hopefully we can just go back to being a little discussion group again instead of an argument group. Lately there have been a lot of arguments, and in my opinion we've all gone a little overboard. Can we take a breather and get back to normal?

  • Man oh man, I wasn't starting anything. You guys make it sound like I started a flame war with him. I just wanted to tell some of the things I thought was a bit rude. That's all. Jeez!

I'm 13, I know I am a bit of a sissy sometimes, but hey..... Anyways.

Alec- Sorry, now we have a different story, I didn't know you were in the loco three times. I didn't know it was bad inside. These are things you should mention so people don't think you're insulting the loco for it's outer appearence or something. I'm not arguing and I'm not continuing this conversation. Friends Alec?

Yes, I know "Breakingbenjamin4444" was a bit of a weirdo. So that's pretty much why I dropped his friendship like a "hot potato" after he was locked.

I know this may be personal, but when I left after the "Great Flame War of August" , and came back in October, I noticed that Big Redneck Rob was gone. Does anyone know what happened to him?

Matthew- On your photo contest, I have to pick yours. I didn't pick the UP, because of the cropping. And the CSX, well, let's just say it doesn't have what I'm looking for in a photo. (Don't call me a RP.net moderator [can't think of what they call the people that except your photos]).

Yours just has a clear shot of all of the locos. The BC Rail caught my attention. That is the first BC I've seen in that scheme. No offense, but I never really took to the BC, but their paint scheme is awesome. Sometimes we'll see HLCX ex - BC Rails out here. They're awesome.

Anyways, talk to ya later. Sorry for that little argument.

  • Ya you're right Alec. That loco is a GP35 because of the back middle fan. that fan is larger on the GP35 and on the GP38-2 it is smaller. One question. Why were you reffering to Kale when it was I who wrote that? Just wondering.

ENOUGH! This is not a "lets go get mad at everybody here" place. I am reffering to those that start stuff on here.
Now lets get back to train talk and not act like babies screaming at each other.

    Nothing new otherwise.

  • Hey guys.

Do me a favor and email me, and I will capture you in my address book, and then email you back.

Oscaletrains, that REALLY stinks. Not to make you feel bad, but I just got Need For Speed, Most Wanted, and it is a really good game.
    Colin from prr.railfan.net
  • Alec- That is a nice sig pic! I really like the MILW paint scheme. That one looks pretty good considering being a former MILW. One question: What's with the number being written up by the radiator fans by the top?

Nothing new today. School was boring as heck today. As much as I hate saying it, I served an ISS (In - School Suspension) today because I got into a fight with another kid. Although, his highest priority attack was scratching me with his nasty long fingernails.

I might go railfanning this weekend at Berea. I need to see some good stuff at Berea. I haven't seen anything special there for a while.

Oskar- Okay, what is with my (Kerr) roster saying that NS's 9900 series are ES40DCs, but yet when you see a 9900 series NS for real, it is a C40-9W. Obviously there has been some sort of mistake. Unless they have Dash 9 horns, Dash 9 radiators or even that look of a Dash 9, there is a mistake.

I just figured out how to edit my photos with a downloadable program. I just downloaded it. And now I can crop my photos. I wish I would've looked into this earlier; now I have shots of trains in the distance lurking out there.

Anyways, thats my say for the day.
