  • I stayed home again today because of stomach cramps. If this continues I might have to stop at the hospital.

  • Oooohh..not good..
oh well, I have had a good day. I just got back from Alyth, and I saw A TON of stuff there! 3 ES44ACs, 9 SD90/43MACs, a lot of AC4400CWs, GP38-2s and SD40-2s, including some of our high hood units, also GP9u 8240, 2 SD40-2Fs (RED BARNS!!!), some track panels moving west, and that trio of GP38-2s I saw earlier, which includes 3084!
I also discovered that they removed the sidewalk from the yard side of the overpass. That makes me quite sad...but at least you can still get far enough along the road fill to see the engine facilities.

  • I wouldn't worry about it because the sign was aquired aquired 35 years ago and if I'm not mistaken I don't think BNSF was a company. So you don't need to worry about that. I've decided to draw something different. WC SD45 6618 sitting in Stevens point Wisconsin. Looks good so far and will be much easier than that evolution loco. I'll have it out in the next week.

Remember Max that that sign is probably 70 years old and was taken about 35 years ago. No BNSF. It was going to be scrapped at the time of its sign knapping. [;)]

  • Lotus, nice job on the drawing. I actually like seeing something other than a locomotive drawing for a change.

Matthew, it sounds like you’ve got it the same as we do on the snow conditions. There is almost no snow here, and the grass has begun to grow on our neighbor’s lawn already!! Talk about weird!

I’ve been having one of those so-so days I have most of the time. Nothing bad, but nothing great either. Just average. Not much time again though, as I’ve got to study for my Modern US History(aka M.U.S.H) test tomorrow. I may be back on later tonight though, as I don’t have a ton of other homework.

  • Howdy y'all.

The other day I found out that I had received the highest score on the PSAT out of the entire Class of 2007 in my school. I'm so proud of myself, and my 1930 out of 2400.[^]

Lotus: Excellent work on the caboose. I would probably be drawing in a similar style, but a few years ago I split away from pencil and paper, and found out how to use a computer. So, I'm going down another route...[sigh] But I do still doodle from time to time. That's where a lot of my computer drawings originate.[:D]

I'm going to be getting a nice sized lot of N scale off of NTRES! YAY![:D]

  • Richard-I don't think we get much of high numbered AC6000CW here maybe once every couple of weeks but that much.High numbered AC4400CW we get a 1 or 2 every couple of weeks but both I haven't seen in awhile but, have been getting alot of low numbered AC4400CW 500 and below but I live in CSX coal country. Can I call you Rick I have a freind whos name is Richard but call him Rick for short

thanks for the comment a guy in Rochelle asked me can you name the RR companies that made up CSX and I only missed 2 out of 10 that I named.

heres something not right a local news channel showed a late ad (they showed everything Thursday) and they had a wide cab dash 9 horn WHILE A NS GP50 WAS GOING BY THEIR CAMERA but I saw that train and blew its horn while they were there at the site thats messed up.

  • Hey, sorry i havent been posying here, but i went away. also my home internet connection on my new computer (55.6k connection[:(!]) got disconnected. i am using a friends computer, but soon ew will get the net back on. Bet you are all back at school! i am NOT! and i don't going back till 1st of february! how you ask, well the answer stems back to something i said in the old place. i mentioned that i lived in australia. well here it is summer. back over in america it is winter. the seasoms reveres. but when you have a long summer break i will only have 2 weeks off. . problem is to a 13 year old teen, the nearest railway line (that still has trains on it) is 50 km away, and in a day you may see 3 trains go through. not worth it. hey i have only realised the language differenece between us. yes i have lived in america for a thme, but some of the local trrms become what i use. some other word differences is you spell "Mom" with an 0. here we subustitute the o for an u. but that aside, i got 2 train sets for christmac. as luck would have it they were the same. but we exchanged one for another. sometime soon i am going to get a board and move it from it's current home on my rooms floor. and i also got several other bits and pieces. i suppose i have said enough for today, so
    HAPPY RAILFANNIG
Alexander (but everyone calls me Alex)
  • Heeeyyy!!! Good to see ya back Alex!!!! Glad you are here!!!!! I envy your sumer break!!!!

Well, nothing, and I mean nothing new...just to much homework....

I don't mind if you call me Rick. Just not Rickie! I just don't like that name!

What other stuff do you get down there? How often do the Diversity In Motion units come through? I've seen 5001 twice and 5000 once. Never 699. The last time I saw one was on July 16 05.

Also what leasers are down there? Probably not too many since it is mostly coal industry down there and CSX loves putting high horsepower locos on coals.

Ones we get up here (since there isn't much coal, lucky if one comes by twice a day, with absolutely no helpers) are HLCX, GCFX Occasionally, FURX, CEFX, and once and a while you'll catch that lil old rampaging GECX 8636 if your lucky!

If your wondering why I'm asking all this is because I was thinking of taking a railfan trip down to CSX's Coal areas. Nice scenery to make for nice shots. Tunnels, high trestles and woodland etc. All great! But one thing, I might get a little tired of pretty much only seeing AC4400CWs on the front and end of coals. No offense.

    Thanks

Well, just for the sake of argument[;)], the BNSF may not have existed, but the NP, did, which when merged into BN, all property became BN, and when BN became BNSF, all BN stuff became BNSF property, therefore making your sign BNSF property. Im sure nothing will happen, im just argumentive.

  • Well, I am home again today, massive headaches last night, barely got any sleep. I am tired, but I cannot sleep. I have been holding my hamster for the past half hour, he is really squirmy, but I love the little guy. I have to go take some tylenol, but i do not know why I am bothering, it has not worked at all since I have tried it, maybe some advil.
