  • And that was very very mature of Richard and you Chris. Ya, me and Noah are kind of like the police around here, we dont take to much crap without putting our 2 cents in. The thing we try to stress here is Meaningful posts, so edit or get AOL or something. But stick around, just be-haaaaaaaaave.
Matt- what patches? The 1.2 update? The dash 9 upgrade? If you shall, since im pretty sure you dont run the foreign routes, uninstall and then delete some of those routes. Did you pick up some stuff at diesels west?

Night all, have a good one.

  • American64? Sorry to barge in AGAIN(With all these posts, the forumers are going to think I'm a teenager!), but this has come up more than once, and I never understood...

    Matt
  • Sorry.[*^_^*] I guess I kind of slipped off alittle. It won't happen again. Anyway, does anyone here know some about the SD70ACE? Ever since they came out I've been wondering what new details and parts the thing has, besides the ugly looking body and cab. What kind of diesel engine does the locomotive use and what in the world are the trucks called that this thing sits on? I've never seen them before!

Thanks for the Website. I'm going to give it a good look over. I will tell Kale about the no chatroom rule. like I said it won't happen again.[:)]

I didn't know that 3 SD70ACEs would replace five SD40-2s! That was quite interesting.
    Thanks again

  • Matt- you are always welcome here! American64 is a confirmed troll. He/she has come over to he trains magazine forums and posted deveral topics wanting to know about derailments and worker injuries. This person has come under different usernames and posts many topics about the same thing. American64 has no info in his/her profile. American64 does not contribut to any topics at all, just starts the same topics over and over agian. Bergie is usulally very quick to delete American64s topics. We have kindly asked American64 why they might want this info, and if they could please get a profile, but American64 never responeded. So, it has been concluded that American64 is a troll. Hope that clears stuff up fpr ya!

James, appology accepted!!! [:D] Teh SD70ACE is EMDs response to the new tier2 emissions standards. It fetures new ACE traction motors, and has an efficiency of 3 ACEs to 5 SD40-2s...

here is a lonk to EMDs website, on their SD70ACe page for more info.. http://www.gmemd.com/en/locomotive/na_freight/sd70ace/ hope that helps! [^]

  • Hey guys,

James, Apology excepted. I'm glad you decided to come back here too, hopefully you can become a regular with the rest of us!

Ah yes, American64. I hated that person the first time, I'm glad that I didn't have to see them this time.

Not a whole lot of time tonight. I stayed after to work on a model Garage I am doing for Shop Class, and I've got a bit of homework, so not a whole lot of time. I am going to go check out CTRG and the WI rail forums though.

    See ya around.

  • I feel not too good again. I am going to say an early goooood night.
    Colin from prr.railfan.net
  • That sounds like a good plan! i will also have an early night!
Today I went skiing, and made a bet with my mum that I couldn't skate ski up this one hill. With the appearnce of my talents, she hought I would die halfwy up. And I nearly did. but I kapt on shooting up the hill and finally crested the top gasping..we would have gone farther, but the snow is pretty crappy this year, and the trail down Fox Creek has a lot of bare patches..but on the way down, I went without much snowplowing, but at one point there was a group of people blocking the trail, and I snowplowed as hard as I could..only barely got around them, even if I had bailed out right there I wouldn't have been able to stop! The snow was very slippery today, making the climb pretty hard..
Now back to my awesome trains!

  • Wanted to see what you thought of my work in progress.

Its not the biggest rr ever built but it does the job quite well. I like running my trains on this.

The picture is not the best but you can see I have a diamond on the layout and a small yard just below that.
Milwaukee road of course (My favorite) A U23B Milw, U30C Milw, SD40-2 Milw, SW7 Milw, and yes a Union Pacific C30-7. The rest of my items are in a diplay case.

Another shot but of the whole thing. Like I said its a work inprogress.

Any Ideas or comments are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • EXTReAM SORRYNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1000 appologies[:(][:(][:(][|)]
By the way james the trucks underneath the are the standerd steerable trucks used scince the beginning of the 70 series . They are refered to as the HTCR-II. The differenc is that the ACE rides higher than the older models, because metal ssheeting that normally covered the seltrical components in that part of the loco. were reamoved for ease of maitenence. CORRECT ME IF I'm wrong but I belive that the engin within theACe is EMD's 710 series
