TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • Not on myspace yet, but probably will be within the next year!
We learn to tell the apart mostly by reading a lot of RR material, but I do some research occasionally! I could tell that was an AC4400 not a -9 because of the louvers on the cab! -9s don't have 'em! ACs also have a large inverter cabinet on the left side! Just read a lot!
Sounds like you've been out for a bit of a party ;-)
And now for a good 12 hour sleep, the first of the new year! And when I'm done I'll finish cutting up my old train calensers and putting them on the wall!
And I'll leave you with this tidbit:
    Captain: What happen?
Mechanic: Somebody set up us the virus
    Officer: We get virus!
    Captain: What!!
Officer: Main Norton turn on now
    Captain: It's you!
    Cats: How are you gentelmen
All your drive are belong to us
You are on the way to destruction
    Captain: What you say?
Cats: You have no chance to survive make your time
    HA HA HA
    Officer: Captain!
Captain: You know what you doing
    Take off every Norton
    For great justice
    Move Norton

    Good night everybody!

  • Alstom: It might really help your drawings if studied some wheels. They don't look round in fact since you can't see them but at the bottom, you see the mostly square truck.
Chase: What I did is I labeled the type of train I had in every photo using a good roster; since I have a lot of different angles I can get pretty good on identitying loco. It does get pretty tiring seeing nothing but SD70's or SD70M's, so it was quite surprising to see a SD90 the other day. I had a camera, but was too far from the tracks for a good picture.

So what did you do with all the extra time you had this year, we had a leap second you know.[:D]
  • With my extra second, I set the computer clock forward a second..
Now I am going to do another sketch,

Well guys, the Packer game went great, supprisingly they won. I also made one train sighting, WC 2005 sitting in a siding near Appleton, WI. Unfortunately no time to stop and get a photo...

Well guys, I'm beat, and I've got to be up for school tomorrow. So I'll see you all later.
