Wow, it is SO dreary outside right now...and in three hours the sun will have set again. I wish I had brought the USB cable for my camera so I could upload the sunrise shots from this morning, though! These winter sunrises are absolutely fabulous...Oh well, time to get back to schoolwork, I'd imagine. Physics waits for no man.
Especially one who's already two weeks behind from the musical.

Matt, I think that the photo in your signature is good! Angles like that and lenses like the "wide-angle lense" at that angle, are a rare angle to angle an angle at indeed. I say you should angle that angle at a different angle if you are ever in the type of mood to angle and angle at that angle for a specific angle, you agree?

Can't really say that much about it, the most remarkable thing I got was a 5 pack of Athearn N BN coal hoppers...they go pretty nice with the plaster I got down around the main bridge.
I didn't do too badly this Christmas. I got an Atlas Wisconsin and Southern GP38 w/ decoder, and it's pretty nice. It's my first Atlas locomotive (although I've had P2K already), and I'm a happy camper! What about you Max?
And Matt, the plaster job looks pretty good on the layout. Now when is the grass going to grow?
I also got the chance to go railfanning again along the Mississippi River on the BNSF. I know, I do go over that way a heck of a lot, but there are so many new angles and such a variety of power to be had that you can go several trips without shooting the same location twice. That, and with the traffic density over there, you are almost always guaranteed to see at least a train or two! This was my first real railfanning trip with the new camera too, and so I wanted to test it out in a place that I was familiar with. Check out my photos from the trip here:

Matt- the plaster job looks good, but I would like to see some foliage on it soon. Keep up the good work.
Well I know I have missed a lot in the last few weeks. The Internet, for me, was down for the last week. But no more. Brand new everything there.
And.. For christmas, well.. I got a brand new Dell laptop. It is really nice. Infact I'm typing this message on it. That was my present. What about the rest of you guys? What going on in your neck of the woods?

James, What was really cool about that train was that the road we chased it on ran pretty much about 100 feet from the tracks the whole time. The road also went up and down as it ran along. So here we are, going about 60, ever so slowly passing a train that was going anywhere between 30 and 50 mph. We'd pull ahead of it aways, stop off and get a shot, and then continue on down river, slowly over taking the train again. And driving past those 6 locomotives that must have been darn near in notch 8 and pulling on 8200 ft of train was really, really cool. That was one of the better chases I've been on. Now if the BNSF would only allow a Steam locomotive to run down River there.....
Matt, the S curve shot is quickly become one of my favorites, and I'll definately have to visit that spot again. I agree though, I'd much rather see a better consist there (like say two GP30s or something....).
hello guys im back how was christmas i got a broadway limited locomotive- sd-45 for 80.00 bucks, its got sound, dcc, all the good stuff. the loco was in the walthers book for 240.00 the store had it for 140.00 and i got it for 80.00 I ALMOST cryed i was so happy.
did you guys here sadam is gonna be killed in under 48 hours. its not going to be on tv they say.
by the way do any of you guys have any info on the hurron central railroad its in the june 2006 isue of railfan and railroad. and i would aprecate any info locos, track, cars, etc. im thinking of modeling it it runs in between sault ste. marie ontario and sudbury ontario.
