TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • Max - I wasn't meaning to start anything when I made that remark, it's just that it is getting a little irritable now.

Alex and Matt - try to do what Noah says before you get the second and most likely final Tenn Railfan Place locked. I would hate to see this place go down the pipes just like the others.

Alex - I wasn't trying to be ignorant, it's just that that crap with UP and business you keep talking about is getting a little bit 'irritating!'

  • Rick- I heard about it in the trains fourm its about 5 pages back forgot what the topic was. I don't know when it will leave WSOR Horicon but it will be unvailed in Chicago,IL in July.

Well I went railfanning for the first time since coming back to the peach state. Not much happening theres a GP40-2 with 2 coaches 1 was Ohio and another coach. Thats the only thing interesting here right now.

Also where and the blue monkey have all the C30-7's gone? I belive CSX traded all the C36-7's or former CR C30-7's to Ohio Central for those F40's they recently got to replace the GP40-2 that was running along with CSX 9992 while CSX 9993 had a problem with its Fuel Tank. According to thedieselshop.us there's only one left and thats CSX 7037, CSX 7001 is in Waycross to be rebuilt and 7126 at Progress Rail. I saw 7052 and 7054 back in March I guess they don't need those ''old timers'' anymore.

Well guys I am battleing a fever of somesort I had a temp. of 102.3 yesterday and this morning 102.6 feeling a little bit better now hopefully I feel better tommow.

  • Alexander. NO MORE! You seem to be trying to act all mature, when you say "well its just business", and it seems like you try to be the macho one out of the group. You know those comments dont go over well, DONT SAY THEM ANYMORE. We get the point.

Jeez, I feel like some of you are deaf. If you freakin listen to someone you may be respected. Quit with all this worthless dribble.

  • alex- knock this crap off right now.
QUOTE: you seem to be trying to act all mature, when you say "well its just business",
but then you continue to argue with Matt on EVERY possible forum.
Alex- just STFU about this. You realize, there's a very good chance you'll be banned when Bergie sees some of your recent posts.
  • UP 8522 is NOT at WSOR Horicon. It arrived at Butler last night on MPRVP, and will be headed over to the paint shop soon.

Unveiling date is scheduled to be July 15th at the former North Western Station in Chicago.

BTW Oskar, CSX's YN2 paint scheme was reportedly very not cheap or simple to do.

Why should i not be able to express my opinion, just because some guy dissagrees with them?

Exactly. They don't go over well, and you and me both know that they cause flame wars. Is it really that hard to keep an opinion to yourself?

  • This is my last warning. I'm so tired of the immature actions of some of the participants in this section that not only will this thread go, some of the members might go too.

  • Come on guys! Alex, especailly you! This has to stop---we were doing so well!!!

Bergie- I am sorry you had to come back....sorry!

Come on guys- lets talk trains...well- I am working on a Kato Dash 9 in C&NW, pics will follow when she is done. I am also working on some '70s UP SD40-2s

Recently, I have been doing a lot of "git r done" on my trains...its great!

Matt- I am going railfanning tomorow---my dad is treating me to a railfanning suprise! I cant wait...I will tell yall what it was tomorow!
  • Chris - I wi***hat my dad would do that kind of stuff with me. All he does is take me when I request it or when my mom is away. He gets super bored while railfanning. Which majorly sucks!

Bergie - I too am sorry that you have to now police this thread. Things will change. We will get back to normal, if we can just listen to each other.

  • Bergie: Simply put, Thanks.

Chris, Are you and your Dad heading after the MILW 261 this weekend up in Wisconsin, or no? I'm going railfanning the thing tomorrow, and then I'm riding the thing on Sunday from Wisconsin Dells to New Lisbon and return. Hopefully the weather will stay sunny most of the day tomorrow, although it's supposed to get cloudy and rainy as the day goes on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Should have pics of the 261 by tomorrow evening!

    Noah
  • I'm going to do some railfanning tomorrow. IANR is bringing an ALCO S1, donated by GE Railcar, to the Hub City Heritage mueseum tomorrow. I'm hoping to get some good pics. Might even chase the train a bit after it leaves Oelwein- but we'll see.
  • In answer to my own question, YES!! Heritage Park (www.heritagepark.ca) is having their annual Railway Days! That means buying models, watching steam get filled with water and coal, mdoel railways, and doubleheaded (faux) CP steam!
I have 7 rejected pics in the database over there - And I'm not gonna whine about any of them, because they're all valid reasons. Although I have to laugh at one: Taken in March at 10AM, rejected for "High sun - This is a common problem in summer around noon"
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=260746
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=260722
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=260720
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=260717
    The rest variations of those......
stay tuned for two or three more rejects!
Edit: Not rejected? How can this be?? http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=148780 And Hicks slides in for the win!
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=260759
    Silly reason for rejection....
BTW, I don't think we'll be hearing from alexander for some time. He apparantly sent an email to Bergie telling him to shove the forum up his a**. Same thing he did to me when I banned him....
