  • Well, i've been doing some research, and have came up with this

The ahem Unplesantness that occured a few months ago (Regulars i'm shure you know what i am going on about) with regards to the old teen railfan place, i have came to these findings

    1. 4-8-4 UP northern is still a member
    2. The old teen railfan place still exists

So if you want to find somthing from it then you can find it.

Well i have Exams today, and their math ones.

  • Aw..checkmate....and congrats on being the first reply on page 100!
Alexander - Yeah, 4-8-4 UP Northern is still a member, though I'd expect that account to be locked, since Bergie let Eric come back under his first RR Redneck handle. Not exactly sure why you had to prepare that report, I thought it was all a bit obvious...

  • This is my official one-week-until-the-end day of school.. *sigh*. Almost there...just need to do a liiittle more work and I'm out...also, my parents get back from Greece today, and I will demand compensation for my uninvolvement. Specifically, getting them to preorder a PCM GN S-2 (4-8-4) and buy me a digital rebel...I jsut spent three weeks without a camera. Now that was hell...
"And did Eric delet your Trains.com membership?"
What do you mean by that? How could he? Apparantly not, since I still seem to be here...I'm not a spectre, people are still talking to me...

  • Those ugly bricks with a 45 degree angel sliced into them are called P42s. You got that right they are the ugliest locomotive I have ever seen. Anyway 2 more days of school to go for me and then I don't go back to school untill september 9.
In the modeling world I have been debating. When my birthday comes, in three and a half months... I know it's a while a way yet. But should I get the brand new MP15AC with sound from Athearn Genesis??? I like those units alot but I also have the choice of getting a brass unit also.

Yeah, the SD45 was a thrill to see, especially being accompanied by a tunnel motor! Yeah, you are right about the Metra F40PHM locos, ugly little critters...we Chicago railfans lovingly call them "Winnabegos" for the resemblance they bear to the older motor homes. And the P42s....BLAH!!! Pretty nasty too! What happened to E units and F units and F45s!!!???? Although I must say I do not mind the loks of a standard F40PH...http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=139937

Regarding Metra...I have a question for all you non Chcago railfans. Whenever I railfan, and see a Metra commuter train (look at my RP.net page if you dont know what they look like) its kinda boring. Ya see em a lot around here and they get boring fast..but I do like them. My dad says they are boring. How do you guys feel about the Chcago area commuter railraod Metra????

    James-

good question. I have been considering either buying a Athern MP15 in Union Pacific. I will have to see what they loook like. They seem nice...but may I ask what brass piece you may get?

  • Chris, It's good to see you back here again. We could use a little more traffic.

Well, I made another trip up to the La Crosse Area doing a little railfanning again on Sunday. It was a great day, with a bunch of rarities and a few shots that came out really, really well. I've got shots up on my railpictures.net account. They are the first six shots on the page. I've got a bunch more of the ICE train that would be on their too if it wasn't for the stupid "High sun" reason they have for rejecting photos except from the select few. • Well the brass would be cool. I was thinking about a brass milwaukee road SD40-2 or the milwaukee road steeple cab.

  • Those MP15AC's are nice! I might buy a SOO white one, and a MILW, and patch it SOO (thats right James, BANDITIZED!).

Well, now all i need to do is go to graduation tonight, and im done. Nice DME shot, wish it was an ex MILW one though, as the DME paint doesnt go well with canadian engines i think.
