  • Yes, i haven't died, i just have had no internet for a week. I have had a great week, and on thursday, that is when we have school holidays i am going to my dad's place. Steamfest will be on, and i will get to go on a steam train. i haven't deceided which one yet.
I have made good progess on my layout, mainly trackwork, but i am planning on getting a bit better scenery done. My LHS has an expanded line, they have atlas stuff now. I will get some stuff when i am with my dad. For james, and anyone who knows about australian geography he lives near newcastle N.S.W.

When i am with my dad i may be able to get some train pics. He lives near a few lines, which is good.

James: Where do you get most of your stuff? I would like to know, as i get to brisbane a few times a year. (You can tell who i am- i am the one with the kid with the blues shirt on)

Well i have to go, when i go to my dad's place on thursday night i will not be able to get to a computer anytime.

The same SD9 has been working that yard for some time and according to the lsrm (lake superior railroad museam) newsletter "the Junction" The loco is a old GN unit left over from the ore hauling days but I never wrote down the # and i couldnt get close enough to get a good shot because she was sitting two tracks from the BNSF's 28th street yard tower.......and they don't take to kindly to the railfans and their cameras.![:(!]

thats too bad you cant get a decent shot of them. I believe they are starting to retire them. I would really make an attempt to get a shot. When NS had the SD9s in Altoona I got one picture, now they're down south and I most likey never see a SD9 on a class one again. One of my biggest regrets looking back
