What's going on on the MR forum?

I guess this means more actual model train time, and learn some more about the real thing. Be patient Matthew, everything happens for a reason. Have faith [tup]

    But I'm at school!
Guess I'll get back to working on that track plan for ereimer.

What are you talking about? Trolls? What's going on? Maybe I haven't been reading posts enough.

Here's what happened: Last evening, a new member treaded onto the forums. He instantly started causing trouble. He was smartaelic, perverted, and acted as if he was a stoner. He mentioned, among other things, crack rocks, and women. It was a bad situation. I e-mailed Bergie as soon as I saw this pandemonium(Sp), and I received a message from him today saying that he had locked his account. So he's gone.

David: There was more than one "troll" trolling around last night?
  • I think it was probably one troll using several names - the postings all followed a similar line. Hopefully we'll be allowed back in before too long.
  • Great. some idiot ruins everything again. [sigh]

  • I think there was more then one. I have seen these type of attacks before, they usually come from another forum, usually a teenage or young adult type forum. They thrive on forums that are not in their vein. Imagine what the Barry Manlow forums get trolled with.
  • Hopefully Bergie will post a notice as to why it was shut down.
  • Fortunately the guy or gal wasn't around long. All his posts were deleted first thing this morning and I would imagine they are locked out. But as stated before, if not them somebody else will be back. It doesn't seem to happen that often, so that is a good thing. I guess it is like everything else in life, you gotta take the good with the bad (mostly good though).

In the sticky that the MR guys posted in regards to this, they mentioned every forum except for the Trains Mag forum I believe. Don't know why.
