TEEN RAILFAN PLACE- LETS TALK TRAINS !

  • QUOTE: I forgot to mention, pushing imaginary buttons doesn't work with me either.

Gee-wiz!!!! I'm trying to apologize and get to know you, not press imaginary buttons!!!! I'm trying to resolve!!!!

Another reason for my hot-headed attitude, is I'm in *those* teen years where you get smart-alecy (spelling*) And this is the last I'm talking about the war, let's start fresh!!!!!
  • Well, im sorry Richard, but you got to act like a man . Try this, dont ask for forgiveness that much, but just be better. Plus, ya Eric may be nice to you, but as you see his emails arent very mature. I got a couple nasty ones, and i swear too, but not as deliberately. He hasnt gotten in his mind that he cant do anything and act all macho all the time. I guaruntee that if i met him face to face, it would be a different outcome. So, just try to act like a man, and a kid im not saying grow up, but one sentence for forgiveness is enough.

  • Do not let me ruffle any feathers! it's not the intention of this....

and this is totally from some one on the side lines

How old is Eric? and as I have seen from the above quotes and post why is he using cusing for adjectives (sp?) (lol im one of the college students who can't spell).. Im not meaning to come down on you, but I wouldn't talk to my mother like that would you, in fact i wouldn't talk to any one that way! and I know alot of you guys are growing up right now and becomming men!

Just remember something, Never Cuss in an argument! it only makes you sound ignorant! I know I've done it!

There is no reason to get that angry Guys! really!!! Ummmm....K..... lol (<<<South park guy.... cracks me up)

Just take a breath some times!

Remember guys *****it's about 'choo choo's' not 'boo hoo's!'*****
  • Dock_661-Eric is 14, nearly 15. A very big fanatic of the UP!!!

Alec- Thanks for the advice!!! I can dig where you are coming from. I'd feel hte same if I were in your position with Eric.

    Chris- Where've ya been man?

    Matthew-Where've you been man?

    Hate repeating myself!!!!!

Anyways, I'll be on a little while tonight calling Eric at 10 tonight, tell him what went down!!! (9 his time)

Alec and the rest (just a question), do you want me to tell him how you feel, or just let things up in air for now? Let me know soon!!!

    .......................
  • good night guys michagan is getting snow. i hope and pray for a snow day. loving the michagan winter!!!!!!!!
LETS GO TIGERS! (clap, clap, clap clap clap )
  • Man, if you get a snow day, you're real lucky!!! It takes like 3 feet to get us a snow day down here in Ohio!!!! Ticks me off sorta!!! Common, I know you all hate school, every kid does! LOL

Right now, we have about 6 inches of it and still piling!!!!!!! SNOW DAY, SNOW DAY, SNOW DAY!!!!!!!

  • I think I talked with eric a little,... seemed to be nice but IM a "REDNECK" too and what he e-mailed was wrong! I like evryone here and im not trying to come off as a hard *** but we all know that was uncalled for!
O' and richard (i have a brother named richard) don't ever back a friend up who is making an *** of them selves just let it happen! and when they see that they've made an *** of them selves they will realize that they were in the wrong!! and learn something.. I have a friend named steven who constantly got into predicaments like that! and he was arested for fighting, he learned his lesson... now he is not as bull headed as in the past and is a pleasent guy to be around! could I have backed him up in that fight? SURE im a big guy and can hold my own, but I didn't, he went to jail and I didn't!
  • Dock_661- Thanks for the advice!!! I have learned my lesson!!!

Alec, I'll bet they're nasty emails! You sending him the same back?? Just curious!!!!

oscaletrains-When you do read this, how high is your snow? Glad to see you became a regular here!!!!! And keep us updated on wheteher you get a snow day or not!!!!!

    ..........................
  • HJ, (If you see this), Thanks much for the advice on the forum Software. I'm working on getting a more professional website than the ones in my sig running on www.trainweb.org, which is a free server, but I may look into getting something for running my own forum on, if I feel it's necessary(which, right now, I doubt I'd have much reason too, there are enough forums out there). But I will definately keep your info in mind.

Alec, I agree, more snow is good!! It isn't supposed to totally quit here until around noon tomorrow, so I'm hoping for at least another inch or two between now and then. I doubt that there is hope of having a snow day tomorrow though. But either way, this snow is good, as it'll make for some awesome snow shots this winter, although one might need hip waders to walk to the right spot for photography!

Guys, can't we just put this whole situation behind us and start talking about trains again? We've rehashed and rerehashed the subject enough. Let's get back to trains and forget the other junk.

I think I'm going to get off for the night. I've got to get up early tomorrow, my parents want me to shovel snow before I go to school tomorrow....

  • Hmm.... this forum is interesting! But I promise not to intrude, it's important that you guys enjoy railroading on your own terms.

Please remember that the average Garden RRer is about 50 years old, retired, wealthy, and has decades of experience dealing with rude people. Sometimes they over react, or react in a manner that a 14 or 15 year old cannot understand. Also the Garden forum is VERY international, and we even quibble among ourselves when a Pom doesn't understand the humor from a contributor from the Antipodes. Sooner or later we realize that somebody is not understanding what is being said in the manner it was intended and take corrective action.

As for myself, I've spent 20 years in the US Army Field Artillery, so if it's a cussing war you want, buddy I wrote the book! Except for a hot-tube hydraulic failure at 2AM, cussing only makes you appear uneducated and out of control. It amounts to nothing more than convincing the other guy that he is indeed right.

I'm not going to give you the "we walked 8 miles to school in the snow barefoot" lecture, but suffice it to say, that a lot of what the hobby is today is because of what we didn't have 30 years ago, and many of the Garden RRer were pioneers of that era, and some like Tony Walsham are manufacturers in the hobby. So give a little credit, OK?

I certainly would like to put all this in the trash can where it belongs and get back to my outdoor double-stack G scale railroading! Whatever you can do indoors, we can do outside! DCC, double headers, switch backs, you name it, we do it!

Oh yes, only one last piece of advice then I'll go back to the other forum, forget the girls, dude! They are expensive, unreliable, high maintenance and troublesome. Spend your money on a nice G scale train. I still have the RR equipment I bought in high school, but been through a number of girls and poorer for it!!! Run! Flee for your life![:P][;)]

Thanks a big one, tangerine!!!! I speak for all of us on saying that we really appreciate that!!!!

Now that that whole thing is behind us let's start fresh!

Anyone else going railfanning this weekend etc.?

    Just curious, since I'm going!

    .............
  • Yes, i send them back, but its not all F u, you POS that sort that he is saying. Anyway, the only thing i do on the weekends usually is to go to New brighton and see the transfer and maybe a coal train. Will have pics. I uploaded new ones to rrpicturearchives.net in new brighton 4 again.

  • Alec, so I here you wrote Eric another email huh? hehehehehe
  • Well, I had thought about contributing something to this, being a teen myself, and an administrator of NTRES, but after reading the brief war that went on...I'm not so sure.

But anyways...It is good to see that it has settled at least...And it is hopefully over. But, it's never good to see a flame war. I've been in too many of those, and don't feel all that safe joining into another discussion that something will prod the "burning embers" and enrage the fire again.

I guess I'll wait a bit longer...So I know that nothing will happen again...Because now I see that the discussion is on trains and girlfriends now...Which being a teen catches my interest...Although I don't have one.

So, yeah, I'll talk to y'all later, but when I don't know.

    Peace.[8D]
