Things got screwy with Eric and the Garden Railways fellows. It kind of turned into a lil' old flame war!! Wars which obviously should not be held on the ineternet, that cause fights!!!!! It looks as if the GR fellows were clashing with "our" place!!!!

OK, I'll admit, I'm back!!!!! LOL

I got to agree with Alec's sentiments, Eric has gone over board one too many times, and this time I am definately glad to see him gone. And I hope he listens and stays away this time too. He was really starting to tick me off, as "our" place here was awfully nice until he started things....

Alec, Yeah, the SD40-2 is on the WSOR property. It was reported in Janesville around a week ago, and it went up to Horicon shortly after that. I posted about it on your forum, but you must have not seen it before it went down. And congrats on the new girl friend too.

Did you guys have a bunch of snow up there too? it sure came down in sheets around here.

Tangarine Jack, thanks much for the compliments, you saying that stuff does mean a lot to us here. I think we all understand that not everyone on the Garden Railway forum is like that, and I know I am glad to see someone actually tell us that though, it reassures me.

Alexander, No reason for you not to be here just because you live in Australia, it's always good to have people who can give us info on railroads in other countries!

Richard, Why the new user name?

Well guys, glad to see things have cooled off. And I say we get this place back to more like it was in the first 15 pages. I'm willing to let things go, assuming Eric doesn't come back.

Things are all good here in WI. I had a snowday thanks do about 5 inches of snow, and it's still falling! I got a good amount of work done on the module too, which is nice. I've been working on a fasica for the front of the layout, and it's comming well. I'm waiting for something to dry now, so I thought I'd stop in here again. I'll have to get pictures of the module progress up sometime soon.

Well guys, I think I'm going to head out again, and see what else is going on. I just wi***hat BBforfree would come back on, I want to get to the Wi railroad, CTRG, and NTRES forums again. I think the last time I was involved with a forum on BBforfree, it went down one day, and stayed down for a few months! The forum I belong to just finally moved to a different free forum place. I sure hope the forums come back up this time though.

Just like TJ (aka tangerine jack) mentioned, I'm also way past the teen stage.
And like TJ I have no problem with teens, matter of fact I have interesting conversations with them on an almost daily basis. Some of you got an email from me with an explanation of why I showed up on the TEEN RAILFAN PLACE, but others didn't get the drift.

OK in a nutshell, Eric, aka 4-8-4 UP Northern, showed up on the GR Forum and right off the bat was shooting off his big mouth. Well we humoured him for a little while, 'til one member decided it was "put up or shut up" time. At which point Eric decided to do the "poor misunderstood me" act. Of course that didn't cut it; we may be old, but we're not stupid. His biggest mistake was barging in and telling us that we needed a Coffee Shop! Well we have one, it just isn't named that. Anyone who takes the time to read a few posts and follow a few threads will find it in no time. But reading and following threads is perhaps not Eric's style and he is a bit slow on the uptake, otherwise he would have noticed what the replies to his initial post meant.
He didn't get any smarter when he sent out a SOS to his buddies when he got a bit of a dressing down. His buddy "alstom" had the gall to make threatening noises, started to call people names etc. etc. Next I get an email from Eric that reads

Sooo as you can read it was a somewhat one sided conversation.
Eric and his buddy "alstom" pushed just a little too hard on this one, BINGO they're gone!
And it isn't that I and others didn't tell them what would happen, they just didn't believe it!
BTW it wasn't me who reported the "nice" posts to Rene and Bergie. On the GR Forum we have a rotation system to take care of matters like that. [;)][;)][:)][:)]
Yes, any teen is welcome on the GR Forum, the only thing we expect is some civility. That isn't too much to expect, is it??

On the spelling mistakes, they are only worth mentioning when you guys get a bit too loud.[;)] There are plenty of adults who can't spell either. [;)][:)] They get ribbed, too, when they get too loud or personal. Usually makes their day, since they don't look all that smart anymore.

hey guys, whats up with all the comotion about??? i breafly looked over the forms and saw somthing about a garden railroad. whats going on??? i like garden railroads but i thought the form was for teens. and then i see this guy saying im not a teen by a long shot!

if you know about hobby lobby it's a great place to get train set's i got my mom and dad to get me the bacman overland limmited (sweet set) for christmas. altho im an athern fan this set is COOL!!! a union picific locomotive with a vanderbilt tender ,9 train cars and a caboose, all katiees. i got it today with my dad unfortunalty it's DO NOT PLAY WITH TILL
X-MAS type thing so im going to be in pain till christmas wating to play with it. i cant wait!!!!!!
