  • Chris, one thing I might suggest about the title is to take off the caps, it's not like there are that many posts on the trains.com board that we need to be shouting around the place.-- I think people will notice it quick enough. But otherwise I don't mind the name, it states what we are.

Just doing a little homework for tomorrow, but I'm all finished so I figured I'd stop over here. I'll probably stick around for a little while and see what I can't scare up on the net for interesting railroad stuff.

  • dang you guys got a late arrival day I only got a early release and thats 2 times a school year.

    kevin
  • I guess we are doing a little better in Wisconsin this year than you Kevin, but I thought I was rough with only four early releases this year(right before the end of each quarter). The reason is because the bus drivers don't want to have to leave their second Jobs earlier than they have to. That is why when it comes to this winter we will have either school or no school on snowdays, no two hour delays like we used to have.

  • Hahaha, i get a late start day every Wednesday at my school. Our usual start is 7:55 and on Wed's its 9:30.

  • I'm going to get going for the night, but first I must post a few interesting links I found:

This one is from today's Trains.com newswire:
    http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/006/284juijr.asp

Take a look at the top photo. I want to model that sucker, it looks cool!! But it would be one heck of a kitbashing project!!

    And here's the second:

I want one of these too!!!! It would be awesome to ride around my back yard up a few feet in the air!!

Was this train east or westbound?

This is most likely train 286/287- the power transfer between Chicago and Minneapolis. 287 is the westbounder, while 286 is the eastbounder.

Also, I found an interchange between MRL, UP, and BNSF- Sand Point, Washington.
  • I see this is going quickly!
your board of ed. says that? My physics teacher says that we should have that much PER SUBJECT!
I'll talk to y'all later, I've gotta go to my cello lesson.

  • Back. Hot thre, made me sleepy.
We get next friday off (Remembrance day) and next monda y for....some reason. Mon.-thurs. is 8:30-3:30, with only from 9 onwards really mandatory. Friday is 9:30-2:15, and I have skipped every english class since the beginning of the year, amking it 9:30-1:10. But my marks remain the same, as missing a day a week in that collection of intellectually challanged hosers is no problem to catch up. A line from today:"Mr. Laratt, what is an anti-climax?" [sigh]
Those are some interesting sites, the monorail one, and I have started getting lax on reading the news every day, that is a strange unit, hope a hostler doesn't mistake it for a cab! And the news of ES44s for CP...
As for the subject of caps, AC6000CW, please do turn them off. But I like the title just the way it is, thanks Chris!
