TEEN RAILFAN PLACE- LETS TALK TRAINS !

  • Hey guys, in and out fast today. I had a dentist appointment after school, so I'm running behind, and to top it off I've got a good amount of homework to do. And to make my night even more hectic, my December MR and TRAINS came today, along with my Walthers Sales catologue, so I've got a busy night ahead of me!! I'll see you all later.

  • Why dont I put graffiti on all of your neighbor's houses and tell your parents that you did it! Milkfaces!!!!
  • OK, please tell me I'm not the only one confused by that last post...

Anyways, I did get one of my pictures listed as one of the top two photos on railpictures.net! Not too bad for only your second accepted post!

Although I do have a proof to Murphy's Railroading Law...whenever I'm at the grade crossing in town and decide to pack up, I can swear I hear something, but assume it's stopped, since I've usually been hearing that engine for the last twenty minutes.
As soon as I park in my driveway and get out of my car, I take five steps towards my house and...I hear the air horns. Works every time. I've noticed it since I was about five. I used to break down in fits in my yard on many occasions when I was little....sad but true; SAD, but TRUE.

  • Dude! Cloudy days arent that bad! You can shoot from any angle! Ya, maybe you wont get on rpics, but i could care less. Cloudy is much easier to shoot in, but it sucks a lot if you have a digital. Dig's dont handle low light very well.
GP15crazy, what the hell did you mean by that post? You make things really confusing.

    Alec, I see your point....

  • Hey Chris, what do you play in jazz band? I do a lot of stuff w/jazz band at my school. I play alto, tenor, and bari sax.
BTW, nice stuff on railpictures.net. I never get a chance to take pictures when I'm in by Naperville, because I always take the train from Route 39. Prefab train station in the middle of strip malls...REAL photogenic. I just keep the camera in the bag until Union Station.

  • I got my best pic rejected from rp.net because of "Poor lighting the sun is too high" I'm trying an appeal, you wouldn't notice it if they didn't have those *** bat wings. http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=180523
    BTW: I play the cello

  • trainboy, do you have photoshop? If you do, I'd try selecting the bat wings and see about lightening them up, if possible. It might make it more noticeable with the noise, but I suppose it couldn't hurt. I doubt they would accept the bat wings as an 'artistic' appeal.

  • Nope, looks like I'll have to leave it in your......capable....hands.
Just got part of the mainline reballasted, and part of the yard. When I sayy reballasted, after I did it the first time, all sorts of problems beame aparent. So we ripped up the whols section of freshly ballasted track, put down new flextrack, and now I've gotten around to reballasting it. The yard was done by my dad, such an amateur, it really neds redoing. Just wish I had a better mix of ballast....
