  • Hey train boy. You like CP and CN right? Are you willing to spend a little money to get rid of the crappy loco's that come with the game?

here are sites to get you started
I recommend Maple Leaf Tracks Niagra Corridor, its a CN route

    www.mapleleaftracks.com
    www.streamlines.ca.com
    www.dieselswest.com
    www.dekosoft.com

That should keep you happy. I recommend SLI and MLT. The first to links are the best.

  • Hey guys,

Tireder than heck today. And I have a big project to work on the Modern US History, so sticking around long really isn't an option. Besides, I got to do a little research before getting off the internet.

    See ya all later,
    Noah
  • you would not belive this it was a career test.

  • Hey again everybody. I figured out how to make consists, but I'm having trouble with the 200-odd files I've downloaded from train-sim.com over the last 5 days. I have many better CP locos, but I haven't figured out how to install any of them save for the ones I got off of www.cpr.ca BTW: they are very good, and include a great steam loco.
What does it mean "Unzip the files"? That's where I got stuck....forgve me, I've only had a home computer for 3 months....
Hey Noah, good luck! We don't know anyting about the states up here, and I'm sure you know about as much about us....boy howdy, our cirriculums are screwed, eh?

  • do you ever want to be a locomotive enginer when you grow up ?
    i would.

  • I do. They have a great program at a local college, but it costs $10000C to go...plus PPE, TExtbooks and such...but they used to have a F-M loco in front!

  • Matthew, I'm sure your right, about the only thing I can tell you about Canada is that it's cold, another country, and it's got some spectacular railroad backdrops--Er.....I mean, Scenery.

I really am considering a career as a railroad engineer/conductor. I really have only two careers I like, those being a railroad engineer and an Archetect. I'm still leaning towards a career on the railroad, as that is my dream job.

Thankfully the due date for that Modern US History (AKA M.U.S.H.)project I had got pushed off until Monday, so I'm going to wait and do it this Weekend. But I do have a little other homework to do, so I'll wait a few minutes and then mosey on out of here. I'm going to go grab a Root Beer out of the cooler I brought. Can I get anyone anything??

    Noah
  • Noah!!!! Cool, you have made this place a "coffee shop" so to speak- Awesome!!!!!![:D]

Yep, I will bring a whole REFRIDGERATOR full of soft drinks!!! haha[:)]

Since were talking abuot jobs, I would also like to work for a railroad. MRL being my 1st choice, UP my second, BNSF a close third.

    Well, back to reaserching....

See you all tomorow. WHEN IT S FRIDAY !
  • Ohhh guys, I couldn't helped but noticing that our place (forum) has broken the 10 page mark!!!!!!!!! We have 11 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and over 200 posts!!!!!! [bday][bday][bday]
  • Noah- You pretty much got it, but you missed the hockey. Ummm...I'm not going to tell you what I've learned.....by those accounts, I've never been to the US....
I got WinZip yesterday, after talking to someone on messenger (was it icmr?) and I've got some of them to work....plus, I discovered that "Best graphics" really knocks my socks off...
Today I started applying myself in english, sort of. I did my physics homework in the first period of the double, then completed a week's worth of assignments in the second, all of which, I'm told, are on their way to being 100%-ers, but that's probably because I'm in stupid english, should've applied myself last year.....Oh well....this should raise my mark into the double digits...LOL
This is a great thing we have, i have added it to my bookmarks, and I'll check in a couple times a day... see you all friday!
