  • I am split between the PRR, Ma&Pa, and the WW&F for my favorite. I also like the B&O - heck I like them all[:D]

    Enjoy

If you're having fun, you're doing it the right way.
  • I have 4 favorites-Canadian National, TH&B, Amtrack, & now UP. Wish Washington would spend more money on Amtrak and give less to foreign governments. Would love to hop onboard in La Grande and visit my son in Portland. Use to be that way.

Hi Dave, and welcome to the forums @ Trains.com

Dave some of us include an email link so that our buddies can send questions and comments about posts we reply to, but they aren't for spamming purposes. After only joining a few days ago, you took the liberty to scan all the forums for members that provide email links so that you could spam us with the exact message you just posted above,--including me.
While your spam was train related, it's not likely that I'll join any club that would take a whole day of driving to get there.

We don't provide email links in our profiles for spammers to invade our mail boxes.
You should have simply started your own topic with this invitation, instead of abusing our willingness to provide our buddies with email links.........

The fact that you ask us to email you just to get your website's url, leads most of us to believe that your'e simply harvesting email addresses.....
    Thanks, but no thanks!
  • Southern pacific for me.
  • I'm sort of torn betwen several factions! I was raised around the Wabash, my first train I received at 5 was a F3 Santa Fe ABA units. I have always had my heart in the Warbonnets. Then BNSF came along. I said that I would never buy a " Punkin" engine. But I have. The Hert. 2 engines are better looking than the hert. 1. Now as time goes on I've also gotten onto the B&O steam era and modren day CSX. But my Love will never leave the Great War Bonnets!!!!
  • [bow]BNSF[bow]
  • Southern Serves The South.
  • I like Conrail and I wish It was still in operation.
Like CSX now more than NS.
  • BN, BNSF, GN, NP & SP&S are my favorite railroads.

    Bob
  • I have a few favorites, both modern and fallen. The modern favorites are NS(my most favorite), Grand Trunk, Canadian National, BNSF, and Canadian Pacific. I also like a few shortlines in my state such as Tuscola and Saginaw Bay, Lake States railroad(cuz of the ALCOs), and the Central Michigan. My fallen favorites are New York Central, Pennsy, Penn Central, Conrail(wish it was still around), Ann Arbor, Pere Marquette, C&O, B&O, N&W, Nickel Plate, and the DT&I. Plus i hate CSX(BOOO!)
  • My user name gives it away. The Chicago & North Western is my favorite.

I live in pittsburgh PA, but those are also exactly my favorite!

CSX and NS mains about a mile from my house, and W&LE about 0.5 mi.
  • I would have to go with the Pennsylvania RR. I have always liked the way they kept most things "in house" by building most all of their engines and cars... I have always found them to be very unique, and I just love the look of their steam.
