i voted for number 1 picture is much clearer but i did like the signal in number 2 but the back ground was fuzzer

I'M ALWAYS A SUCKER FOR THAT RED SIGNAL SET OFF OF THE BLACK MATRIX, WHICH PHOTO 1 IS LACKING. BOTH HAVE THOSE GREAT HEAT WAVES OF EXHAUST AND THE APPARENT UP-GRADE DEMAND ON THE PONIES.

It was a hard decision!
I chose photo 1 because the train filled the picture more, but 2 was very close, as it showed more of the train and the signals, not to mention that cool dip in the track.

Combine the clarity with photo1 and the scope of photo 2 and you have perfection. But 2 showed signal conditions, the landscape it was hauling thru, the great heat waves, plus in photo 1 you'd never know there was a siding or the type and set of the switch target. Photo 2 really sums up what railroading is, out in the sticks.

Voting was really tough as both photos were very good. I agree with much of what mandelswamp said. That picture 1 was closer and better focused. I like detail in my photos.

#2. While #1 had better color as mentioned before, #2 was more dramatic.

I voted for photo number one as I like the locomotive, which is my favorite train item to collect. I also like the train in the snow photo. Nice photos!!

Photo 2 for me. Excellent shot with the scenery, signal, etc. As others have said, I like how the track slopes down.

I thought photo number 2 was a little blurry so I went with #1. Hard to choose between two close shots.

#2 got my vote this week. I like the extra elements in #2... milepost & switch stand, signals, and the "dip" in the bottoms of the hill. Elephant style was nice, too bad it couldn't have been better in corporated in the shots.

I LIKE PHOTO 1 BETTER THAN 2 EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE BASICALY THE SAME. 1 HAS A LITTLE MORE DETAIL, AND THE STAR EFFECT ON THE LIGHTS IS COOL. KEEP UP THE GOOD PICS, I'M FROM YOUR NECK OF THE WOODS, RACINE
