Posted by skip e. on Monday, January 16, 2017 12:04 AM

New hear so i'm sorry if this issue has been brought up already. Switching over to DCC. (Fresh Start) using a mrc prodigy. trying to program and not sure if I did it properly. It wont run using my cab controller, still runs using my old dc power, any suggestions other than re-wording my request. thank you. Skip

Skip,

Welcome to the forums. We need more information. What DCC equipped engine are you using? Is it new or did you buy it used? What progaraming attempts have you made? You mentioned the dc operation works. While many decoders can run on dc, sometimes it will affect their DCC operation.

I’m a Prodigy Guy and they are pretty straight forward as far as programming goes.  Like the above post states we need more input.

Factory installed decoder?  What version Prodigy?  What is the decoder manufacturer?  Did you use the Programming output from the Prodigy or Track Power?  Did you start with Locomotive address 003?  Did you change the decoder address?
