Hi, I am getting back into model railroading after a 40 year absence. When I was in my teens, mom decided I would get into HO. Well, 40 years later, and after all the HO stuff is long gone, I just purchased a used set of N scale via ebay. I got an Arnold Rapido (German made) F9 type, an unmarked 4-6-4 steam locomotive, unmarked, and 8 various branded cars from Bachman, Atlas and Parkway, 2 transformers (Both went into the trash as one hummed and the other was Bachman garbage) and a variety of track. I figure this will be a good start off point for a cash cow hobby for me :) Since I have been away from trains for so long, I will likely be asking advice on what brands to look for, the best affordable transformers, etc... I know Parkway is long gone, as is Arnold Rapido, however Hornsby in England bought them and is now making the Arnold trains in Japan
