The 2-cycle EMD's just sound 'right'.

All the 4-cycle diesels sound 'wrong'.

I definitely voted for Alco, especially for all three of its carbody designs: FA, PA & DL500. It also has better looking export locomotives, which are still in production in India under license (the WDM2).

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
