Hello all its been along time since i posted on the forums, much less had a picture to show. I've had alot going on had to get a new camera after someone stole it and my computer clunked out had to buy a new one. Anyway i took my yearly trip to Tupelo, MS to see my grandmother and do some railfanning too. Here are a couple of pics i took of a KCS GP40-2 sitting in the yard just before dark.

The gigapixel images are pretty cool, Ty. How many shots go into a composite picture like that, anyway?
Long time no see, SD60M! I've always wished the KCS was a little closer, as I'd like to shoot them sometime. The Southern Belle paint scheme is pretty cool.
I like all the "high above the train" shots posted around here lately! They're usually one of my favorite kinds of photos myself, as they place the train in perspective to it's surroundings. I can continue the theme with a couple of shots too.
I've got a trip report to post again, though this time it's actually posted on my website. I forget if I made mention or not that my family and I made a spring break trip to the San Fransisco area back in mid March, and I managed a couple of days of railfanning. I finally got around to getting the photos processed and I'm getting the trip report up on my website. So far I've only got one of two days' worth of photos online, so the link isn't tied into the rest of the site yet. But I figured I'd post it here. Consider it a "preview" of sorts. Day one was basically just a chase of the Napa Valley Railroad, a pretty cool tourist railway still running a pair of MLW FPA4s. The train runs through some beautiful country:

Day two trip report to follow, hopefully in a couple of days.

Well it's been a while SD60M. Hey do you know if BN 6908 is still un-patched? I tired tracing it, and there wasn't any data on it.
Great pictures Noah! Some pretty awesome scenery out there!
Well I'm working on a few trips for this summer. I'll be going out to a wedding out in Nebraska, and then heading into Breckenridge CO. So I'll be rail fanning out in the great state of NE, and I'll most likely be going to Moffat again. I'm also hoping to do another 3 day trip to the DME. So hopefully if everything works out...

Nebraska has a lot of trains, but that's about it...no offense to anyone living there. At least I don't remember much besides a lot of grass and random boring buildings from when I was there quite a few years ago.
Here's two new videos from me.
Railfanning the Green Line on the morning of April 22. We'll begin with a ride from North Station Yard over the Lechmere Viaduct, and then watch some trains cross the Viaduct itself.

Rush Hour at South Station. My try at a music (royalty free) video, basically just synchronizing the video to the audio. This was a lot of fun to work on!

It has Been a it since i posted a trip so here is one
Those who are fans on UP 3300 (United Way SD40-2) may have good news, it's been pulled out of the deadline and is now waiting for a overhaul! Paint was not listed on the things to do, so lets hope it retains the UW paint.
SD60MWCfan Well it's been a while SD60M. Hey do you know if BN 6908 is still un-patched? I tired tracing it, and there wasn't any data on it.Yes BN 6908 is still unpatched but with the SD40-2s being re# i dont know how long it will last.

Well as long as BNSF doesn't get any more new GEVOs...theoretically it should be fine, since it does have "BN" reporting marks, and not BNSF.
Well lets hope UP does a good job rebuilding that. Like the guys on Fuzzy's said, I have heard a lot of people say that it was quite the pile!
Nice stuff guys.
I got a video of 4125 (I'm wondering how long it'll be around since it was sold to M-N a while back, and 4123 went up for a rebuild a while ago, so 25 could potentially go in the near future, but IDK) at Netcong last Monday, but haven't been able to upload it due to computer problems, which is also why I haven't been on. I'm gonna wait on that till I get my computer back...

Well, Transit is now five days into the new fares, and I haven't heard anything huge about dramatic drops in ridership in the past week. We'll see what happens when the service cuts come around in June...
In other news, 4629 is back from testing at the TTCI in Pueblo, so I guess everything went well. 4629-4637 have all been delivered and are at the MMC. The 46As are expected to enter revenue service in June or July (last I heard), when more on property testing is completed. Now we just need the MAS of the Multilevels to be raised to 125 so the 46As can be used to their full ability...
Well yesterday UP 1995 put the CNW heritage onto the CN ex-GM&O in Lockport! Not where you'd expect the CNW! http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4584756918/
Then here it is backing into the new intermodal facility on the far south side of Joliet. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4584133897/
The new UP intermodal yard is supposed to be open this summer!
Where is everyone? It's been over a week since my last post! Anyway, last Sunday was Homewood Rail Heritage Day, so here's some stuff I got.
EJ&E 661 and 672 sit. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4612948380/
A Metra electric train passes them. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4613054986/
EJ&E 671 pulls out of the yard passing the other two J's. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4613054986/
Then a UP transfer pull out, amazingly with a UP SD40-2 leading!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4613620340/
Then it pulls back past the power on display, freshly repainted IC SD70 1008. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4612359821/
Here they are again. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4612344897/
Then after that I met up with a friend of mine and we continued the good power streak. J 671 pulls out again. This guy gave us a horn show and put the red strobe light on! http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4613050749/
Right after that the full J consist pulls out, this guy also honked at us, no strobe this time though. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4613005071/
Then we walked down to the yard and there was the UP deuce again. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4612725071/
He left IC 1011 sitting in photographable range. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4612962323/
Then we went down to the deadline because my friend had never seen a WC or a BC Rail before anywhere, not even dead. I shot this of the repainted IC 6100 while he shot the heck out of WC 3006, lol. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4612939670/
I was in for a first too, however. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4612307843/
The weird green unit is EJ&E CC1, a homebuilt slug unit that had eluded me until Sunday. Of course it's dead now... Check another J off the list through! That was one of the last ones I needed.
After that we walked through the model train show and swap meet, spent tons of money (well that was just me...) then called it a day.
The next day I heard the CN Oil Job, which is a train that runs between Glenn and Joliet, then back, making his return trip. I got it going by the mural in downtown Lemont, another shot I had been wanting for years. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4616426510/
Then the next day Iowa Interstate had a SD38-2 leading, so I wanted to knock another long awaited shot and shoot it from the top of the Tinley Park depot, so here was the result. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4619747586/
A pretty good three days if I say, hopefully today will be four,
Still no more posts and it's been almost another week!
Anyway here's the video I put together of Homewood Rail Heritage Day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoWwNFXaKqQ
