Hello all its been along time since i posted on the forums, much less had a picture to show. I've had alot going on had to get a new camera after someone stole it and my computer clunked out had to buy a new one. Anyway i took my yearly trip to Tupelo, MS to see my grandmother and do some railfanning too. Here are a couple of pics i took of a KCS GP40-2 sitting in the yard just before dark.

Long time no see, SD60M! I've always wished the KCS was a little closer, as I'd like to shoot them sometime. The Southern Belle paint scheme is pretty cool.

I like all the "high above the train" shots posted around here lately! They're usually one of my favorite kinds of photos myself, as they place the train in perspective to it's surroundings. I can continue the theme with a couple of shots too.

I've got a trip report to post again, though this time it's actually posted on my website. I forget if I made mention or not that my family and I made a spring break trip to the San Fransisco area back in mid March, and I managed a couple of days of railfanning. I finally got around to getting the photos processed and I'm getting the trip report up on my website. So far I've only got one of two days' worth of photos online, so the link isn't tied into the rest of the site yet. But I figured I'd post it here. Consider it a "preview" of sorts. Day one was basically just a chase of the Napa Valley Railroad, a pretty cool tourist railway still running a pair of MLW FPA4s. The train runs through some beautiful country:

WOW! Nice pic Noah theres alot to look at in that pic i almost didnt notice the train! Here is another pic from my trip i was almost home anid i see thhis R.J. Corman Geep just sitting there, i had to get a shot of it. Sorry about the pole some dude was watching me and just to be carefull i took a quick shot!

Well I'm working on a few trips for this summer. I'll be going out to a wedding out in Nebraska, and then heading into Breckenridge CO. So I'll be rail fanning out in the great state of NE, and I'll most likely be going to Moffat again. I'm also hoping to do another 3 day trip to the DME. So hopefully if everything works out...

Nebraska has a lot of trains, but that's about it...no offense to anyone living there. At least I don't remember much besides a lot of grass and random boring buildings from when I was there quite a few years ago.

Railfanning the Green Line on the morning of April 22. We'll begin with a ride from North Station Yard over the Lechmere Viaduct, and then watch some trains cross the Viaduct itself.

It has Been a it since i posted a trip so here is one

Saturday the 17th i had decided to go watch our Softball Team play in a tournament in Stratford. Stevens Point was in the route to their so the Day Started at 4:45 A.M. when i got out of bed. I had some stuff to do before i left but i was on the road by 6:00. the first game was slated for 9 AM & it would only take me little over 2 hours to get there so i had some time before hand. i was able to catch up to a NB on the way but as i got closer & seen the power it wasn't good. Then i continue my way stop & get some breakfast & watched both games we played in then i head to Marshfield 11 miles South of Stratford where i would eat some lunch & Meet up with the CN mainline. To my dismay the line was dead from Marshfield to Junction City. nothing but red lights. so then i go to Point then i realized everything was going on their. so i visit the Engine Tracks some ok power there




there was some Dash 9's, SD75I & a M-2 there as well.....

What surprised me here was a Dash 9 Leading the Local down to Plover.

Then i was thinking do i go home or stick around it was around 5 PM i am getting tired & hungry again but then i see a SB waiting on the south end & all ready to go then i hear on the scanner that 2 NB's had to meet them before they left so i go down to Orchard to Get the NB's

Then the SB heads out i like it when i can chase a SB since its on the way home so i decide to try the Amherst Bridge Shot

Then i hop back on the Highway to head home. Overall for Both Trains & My school it was good day. Sorry if i bored anyone with my opening about the day.

Those who are fans on UP 3300 (United Way SD40-2) may have good news, it's been pulled out of the deadline and is now waiting for a overhaul! Paint was not listed on the things to do, so lets hope it retains the UW paint.

Yes BN 6908 is still unpatched but with the SD40-2s being re# i dont know how long it will last.

 

Well as long as BNSF doesn't get any more new GEVOs...theoretically it should be fine, since it does have "BN" reporting marks, and not BNSF.

Well lets hope UP does a good job rebuilding that. Like the guys on Fuzzy's said, I have heard a lot of people say that it was quite the pile!

I got a video of 4125 (I'm wondering how long it'll be around since it was sold to M-N a while back, and 4123 went up for a rebuild a while ago, so 25 could potentially go in the near future, but IDK) at Netcong last Monday, but haven't been able to upload it due to computer problems, which is also why I haven't been on. I'm gonna wait on that till I get my computer back...

Well, Transit is now five days into the new fares, and I haven't heard anything huge about dramatic drops in ridership in the past week. We'll see what happens when the service cuts come around in June...

In other news, 4629 is back from testing at the TTCI in Pueblo, so I guess everything went well. 4629-4637 have all been delivered and are at the MMC. The 46As are expected to enter revenue service in June or July (last I heard), when more on property testing is completed.
Now we just need the MAS of the Multilevels to be raised to 125 so the 46As can be used to their full ability...

Where is everyone? It's been over a week since my last post! Anyway, last Sunday was Homewood Rail Heritage Day, so here's some stuff I got.

The weird green unit is EJ&E CC1, a homebuilt slug unit that had eluded me until Sunday. Of course it's dead now... Check another J off the list through! That was one of the last ones I needed.

 After that we walked through the model train show and swap meet, spent tons of money (well that was just me...) then called it a day.

 The next day I heard the CN Oil Job, which is a train that runs between Glenn and Joliet, then back, making his return trip. I got it going by the mural in downtown Lemont, another shot I had been wanting for years. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24084206@N08/4616426510/
