Use SBC Yahoo DSL. When it works it's great, but I don't like talking to people from another country when there are problems with it. 90% of the foreign ITs' can' t speak the American English well enough to help you. Bring back the ITs' to the US!!

I USE 56K MODEM, AM NOT MARRIED TO THE COMPUTER (OR ANYTHING ELSE!), CAN'T JUSTIFY HIGH COST FOR ADDED SPEED GIVEN AMOUNT OF USAGE. I DO NOT FIND THE RESPONSE TIMES THAT SLOW.

Selected home broadband, but it is satellite internet. Some of us still do not have access to DSL or cable, and dial-up is tooooooo slow.

Using AOL Broadband (dsl) It's faster than a GG-1, more powerful than the E-44, and at least as versatile as a diesel! I think?
Railroaders do it on steel

I have both cable modem and wireless broadband service available, and my computer automatically switches between the two services for different Web and e-mail accounts.

Sometimes I am so overwhelmed by all that I have coming and going from the house
I just keep my 56K dial up . I put up with the slow speed because I must. When I am through "paying back the rebates to MSN " I will get high speed through the phone co.
I must pay MSN 21$ a month for one more year. I think the high sprrd will make viewing videos much better. Charlie Norr Springfield MO

I am using 256k ADSL via an independent ISP. Because we down under are out of sync with US, downloads are not so much of a hassle. Fair dinkum, I'm happy. And by the way, the site is pretty good.[8D]

useing msnwebtv.net to access trains.com. can't justify the cost of a computer. loads a little slow, and video is out of the question, but $21.95 a mo. is affordable. scotty4

I'm retired, so I use 56kps dial-up. I really don't need the blazing speed of the DSL, etc., although I'd like to have something a little faster for downloading the great articles in MR - but, that's what I can afford right now, and it's better than nothing!

I still use the 56K modem. It works for me and is a lot cheaper. Incidently, why couldn,t I vote? When I clicked on the vote option {on my MR newsletter] it went directly to this [comments] page.
