BNSF GP38's Painted Blue
Posted by southdepot on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 1:53 AM

I've seen one photo and several model manufacturers offering in a all blue painted BNSF GP38 with the "BNSF" in the "swoosh" lettering.  What's the purpose of a blue BNSF when all the other BNSF engines are in

a orange, green and yellow color, including some experimental higher tier engines?

The locomotives were former lease locomotives, and when they were purchased the paint was in such good condition that BNSF initially just applied their logos.
