PM A-600 Class Caboose.

HO Scale 3D printed caboose based on Pere Marquette A-600 Class. Hardware used: Win7 PC controlling Anet 8 printer via USB. Software used: Sketch-Up for drawing, Simplify 3D for slicing. Printer specs: .40mm tip (brass) with Teflon throat, heated bed, V6 head. Medium used: Solutech 1.75mm "Real White" PLA. Temps used: 190c at tip constant, decreasing bed from 60c to off above 1.5mm printed height, fan on part @ 60% for total print time. Print time: 4 hours @ 3600mm/minute avg.. Assembly time: 30 minutes (glue to set). Tools needed: glue and small Phillips screwdriver. Parts you see but not printed: Walthers 33" metal wheels/plastic axles, Kadee #5 couplers and centering springs. 2) 2-56x1/4" screws for trucks, 2) 2-56x1/8" screws for couplers. Cost of car: $10 as you see it above. $20 with details, paint, and decals added. Printed plastic only...... 20 cents! PC, printer, and software are extra ofcourse!
