Joppa Iron Works Torpedo Car

on Tuesday, January 3, 2012

First try at weathering a Walther's torpedo car. They looked so nice out of the box I was hesitant to weather them at all, but they need to look like they are in service. Process was chalk and alcohol with a light spray of Testor's Dullcoat. While Dullcoat was still wet I re-applied more chalk and hit it with more alcohol. After it dried I was relieved! This is where the mottled look comes from on the body of the car.
