I am assembling a Walthers HO 3-Stall Roundhouse (Kit No. 933-3041). I glued down the bases carefully, using both the provided template, ensuring each section interlocks with the notches.

How is it that when I set up the side brick walls and interior braces the roof is 1/4" over size at the rear, blowing out the side wall and the rear walls leave huge gaps? I used a right angle blocks when gluing to maintain 90 degrees. The walls and braces are all self jigging in the notches or holes, so I just don't understand what could be wrong here.

This is the first Walther's Cornerstone plastic structure I have ever built in HO scale. My last were in N scale 12 years ago and I don't recall the parts being this far out of tolerance.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Or do I just need to "tweak" these kits and deploy scratch building techniques to get these kits to work well?

Thanks.
