Recently I let my subscription to MR lapse. I enjoyed the magazine. However,
I found limited information on N gauge which I am modeling. Granted, some of
the tips can be used when modeling in N and other gauges. But it is obvious the magazine is devoted mostly to HO modelers. That point is no more evident than in the MR Sweeps. Everyone is invited to enter, but why would anyone else but an HO modeler want to enter? Other than the grand prize, the first and second prizes are for the HO modeler. When reading the list of rules, "substituting prizes is not allowed," which brings the question: Why would modelers modeling in other gauges want
HO items which they wouldn't be able to use? It's too bad the Sweeps is set up
in this limited manner.

Frank Gomes
