Union Pacific Greyhound Paint Scheme...
Posted by Tracklayer on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 4:08 PM
I've go a friend that recently bought an HO Lionel challenger in the greyhound colors with yellow stripes and lettering. He got it for one third of it's original price because it had been sitting on the shelf at the train shop where he bought it for so long that the shop owner just wanted to get rid of it... The shop owner said himself that most modelers passed it up because of its colors.
I have to admit, I personally prefer black locos with graphite smoke and fire boxes, and maybe white trim and lettering, but that's about it. I guess it's an each to their own kind of thing. Like they say - beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Are you a greyhound paint scheme fan ?.

I am. The Greyhound scheme is my favorite Steam Loco scheme.

My former user name used to be Grayhound Challenger.

I am accepting any and all grayhounds to my cause.
