I finally got some time off of work, so I actually finished a project. this is another kato SD38-2. it started off as a UPY unit that i stripped. then I added a new cab and sub base. along with a nose light and all of the other SP goodies that it needed. I painted it with floquil paints then tossed on some microscale decals. then all it needed was some rust and grime. the rust is painted on, all of the other weathering is chalks. so now, I finally got a set to switch West Colton....now all i need is a layout! :) [img]http://akpierce.20m.com/Model%20trains/sp%20sd38-2%202971.JPG[/img] here are the 2 of them woth SP SD35E 2957....looking for some cars to switch [img]http://akpierce.20m.com/Model%20trains/sp%20sd38-2%20group%20with%20sd35.JPG[/img] and here is the other SD38-2 I finished a while ago.
