I noticed that rail looked like brass.  Don't G scale locos have a problem with tarnished brass rails, or are they battery powered?

 

I messed around with G Scale for a bit. The only downside I noticed with the brass track was you need a powerful transformer to "juice" the track with.  Something like a Bachmann starter set transformer worked fine with the flyweight track in the starter set but wouldn't work with the brass track, there's a lot of resistance in that heavy brass to overcome.

I'd imagine heavily tarnished brass track may cause problems but I doubt those who use it let things go that far.

I'll tell you, some of those models are so well done it's hard to tell what scale they are without some sort of a reference, like the brass rail of the G Gauge models or the three-rail tracks of the O Gauge.
