Try this site, I think it's still up and running.  I got stuff from them about a year ago.

As I have suggested to others, post a WTB (want to buy) message on the HOSwap.io website.  Costs nothing to join..Put the Detail Associates part number in your message.  Many people looking for oddball things.  Someone may have one of those in their bunker.

Membership has been applied for. I'm already on groups.io with a few other groups anyway.

Don't forget that Farr-Aire grills came in either verical or horizontal strip styles

From the pictures of my prototypes, i need the horizontal style.

The grills on the Walthers web site are those from Highliner. If you go directly to the Highliner web site, they seem to be available.

A little more expensive than I was figuring. I may have to go that route however.

I did some further checking in the Walthers site and they don't list any. Does anyone still make intake grills for HO or are they a victim of everything being RTR?

Beat me to it by two minutes, even as I was typing!!

I thought it was "Farr-Air".  I KNOW it's not "Farre-Aire".

The intake grills were what I was thinking of.

The closest in style for what I need for one unit would be the link to Walthers. Kaslo only shows for B units. Plano shows they aren't going to produce them for F7s. And of course the DA ones are long discontinued.

vents on F-units

Cab vents? Steam generator vents? Engine room ventilation vents? Fuel tank overflow vents? Farr inlet grill vents?

I'm just guessing here but are you looking for the stainless intake grilles?

Plano is another good choice:

 Kaslo Shops:

 Detail Associates?

Good Luck, Ed

Does anyone make the detail parts for the vents on F-units anymore? The last ones I saw were the long ago Detail Associates ones. I am working on two F7As and the stock ones on the engines aren't right for my protoype. e.g. http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/bn/bn0720cwb.jpg

As usual any suggestions would be most appreciated.
