I have tried these on a pair of Walthers RTR Bulkhead Flatcars which are just plain mean and onery sorta like the freight cars in the Thomas the Tank Engine series. Always laughing at the engine and daring it to make em roll.

They do roll with these new trucks. Part of the problem was the tops of the Walthers trucks were just too high and banging against the underside of the cars. I added another set to a onery athearn boxcar to ease the really bad WOBBLE... it ran like silk on the track.. the true test will come soon on the layout.

I dont know anything about one truck from another as used on the protoype but for me this product really really settles my onery freight cars down and makes em track properly and roll better! They were like 4.50 a pair enough to do one freight car. But with a Athearn Boxcar or similar at 6.70- the combined cost is right up there with the RTR that is being offered today.

I see a possible retrofit of some of the other freight cars in 2005. Some will get this truck but not all of them. Only the ones that are onery on the track.
