VIEWING REPLIES . . .
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, May 23, 2002 9:54 PM
Is there a way to view all the replies to a posting as in other forums? What I mean is, is it possible to see the actual content of each posting reply, one under the other in sequence, without having to click onto exch posting one at a time? I am not sure if I have missed a method of doing that on this site, but on other forums I visit, this is the common way of viewing replies as otherwise it takes forever to download each one at a time when the Web is busy

No,you have not missed a trick. This is the current
process. From what I recall from previous replies a
software up-grade could be or may be in the process.

MODERATORS, Andy/Russ, any up-date for the members?
Thanks.

We are still planning on making our forums more user-friendly. However, I can't give you an exact date when it will happen because there are other redesign issues which go along with it.

please give this some priority since as it is, this surely has to be the most tiresome forum on the internet from the standpoint of scrolling - (NOT the content!)

There are other(speed) factors on each individual user end that also effect the download time especially if you are using a modem that do not connect up to the max advertisied speed(56k)

Please check out TheGauge.com or Trainboard.com for ideas on a good forum.

I agree, it does take far too long to read all the postings at the moment when compared to other forums. And when people do not get what they want in one place, they go elsewhere . . .
