I am thinking of changing gauges from HO to O but was wondering if I would be too limited in rolling stock as I would be limited to 36" radius, although I would never be able to afford the larger locos anyway, I find the HO is very hard on my eyes for repairing, scratch building etc.

I could utilize most of my benchwork as it is now, with some changes in the ends of the bench work.

What I would like to know is, if you compare a standard box car in O,G,and S
scales what would a ball park figure be as to cost? is G scale built to scale?

What radius would a 0-8-0 or 2-6-0 and diesel take in larger scales?

The other problem is I live in Ontario, Canada 60 miles from Toronto and there are not many hobby shops that carry the larger scale equipment, the nearest one to me only carries a limited HO stock.

I hope this message is not too confusing but I need advice so i can decide what to do

Thank you

Bill Webb
