My Brother came up with the fourth day of Christmas for me tomorrowLaugh

He calls it Candyland (mind you, he's 14 years younger than me)  I call it Scale Model Supply.  The search for DWP and DMIRYes

A navy man and a marine walked into the latrine.  After they finished thier business the navy man noticed the marine did'nt wash his hands.  The navy man said to the marine.

In the navy they teached us to wash our hands before we leave the latrine.  The marine said to the navy man.

In the marines they teached us not to touch anything or pee on our hands.

It was an unexpected 64 degrees outside today.  We went out walking to try out our new binoculars, gifts from Santa.

This has been quite a month for food.  We still have one more event on New Year's Eve, but the last couple of nights I've at least kept my blood sugar under control.

We have a new favorite beer, called Custard's Last Stand.  It is smooth and creamy and brewed with coconut.  Normally, I don't care for specialty beers, but this is special, kind of like a piece of coconut custard pie.  We love local craft brews and often find ourselves at breweries and brewpubs.  No typical American soda-pop beers for us.  The last Bud I had in my hand was poured down the drain so I could recycled the can.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

My dad used to drink that,  also Hamm's, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Style, the list goes on and on.  I think he brought home whatever was on sale because it changed all the time.  All that old school brew was good enough for him and it's good enough for me. Don't get me wrong,  I prefer a better Import or rich bodied IPA hands down but that watered down domestic stuff is a perfect all day sipping beer.  Nothing better for a Football day with your friends..... Nobody ever seems to get too jacked

My father was the same way.  If one six-pack was a penny cheaper than another, he bought it.

My doctor told me I could have two drinks per day.  Never more.  I have two cans of beer a day.  I'm not a connoisseur.  I like it ice cold.  Cheap beer tastes just as good to me as expensive.  Pair that up with a good burger, and I'm happy.

Hey John,  I liked this one.  I had to share it with you.

It was my favorite birthday card this year from my mother-in-law in Northern Wisconsin.

I have mentioned before that my wife looks just like Meryl Streep. So my son sends me this photo and says doesn't this look just like Mom, hard to tell them apart.

But then he goes on to say, sorry Dad but I don't think Mom is married to a Pierce Brosnon. GRRRRR! I tell him I am changing my will as we speak. He quickly responds with, but your stomachs smaller than his. I'll think about it over another glass of Glenfiddich. That kid thinks fast, lucky for him.Laugh

Took him into my Bank today and he was fine at first. Then a female employee walked by and he went Full Cujo on her. A mad Doberman Pinscher and nothing on him when it comes to sounding mean.

Am I missing something here?

Last week you mentioned you took the dog into Lowe's, today you mention a bank. I'm not sure I understand, Ken. When I go to a store, bank or other public place the last thing I expect to deal with is a dog, unless it is a registered service animal.

Any idea what the outcome would be if your dog would have been just a little more aggressive, or perhaps got loose of your grip on the leash?

Maybe times have changed? I guess there are people taking turkeys, raccoons and armadillos on passenger flights these days.

Just wondering...

Cheers, Ed

Just a decafe, some half & Half and Stevia for me tonight.

moelarrycurly4 s we age we get dunlap, as in your belly done lapped over yoru belt. Speak for your self.Laugh My gut will be staying well clear of my belt thankyou very much.

Same here Brent!  I am still working on getting the 5 lbs. I gained at Thanksgiving off, but they WILL disappear very soon.  I ran my 5.5 miles this morning over at the fieldhouse.  First time in a week as they were closed through Christmas until yesterday and I couldn't get over there then.  Unfortunately, next Wednesday being New Years they will be closed then as well.  I will be back over onMonday and Friday to do 5.5 miles more.  Today I cut about 5 minutes off the running time.  I am feeling it tonight, but the soreness actually feels good.  I know I got a workout.  Fitbit says I have put in 21,166 steps and just under 10 miles distance today.  Also have burned over 3,000 calories....  Just hope I have eaten less than that...  LOL

BOA....  Yep, one of the places I stay away from except to deal with some donations to the MLK Scholarship.  Only bank I have had a few problems with that over the years.  I do my personal banking with a local Credit Union.  Never have had any problems there and they are quick to answer or solve any questions that come up.

Waiting for a few minutes to go by before calling a wonderful lady I like to see how her Christmas has been and also when we might get together again.... Smile, Wink & GrinWhistling  If we ever get some Sn*w on the ground here we plan to take a sleigh ride up in the Rochester, NY area.  That should be fun......  6

Have a good evening out there!

This new attraction on International Drive is called the “Star Flyer”. We planned to go up on it after dinner, but we were all so full we decided to put that adventure off until a later date. . .

Kevin, I was with you in everything until you got to that part called the Star Flyer.  No way.  I look at that and I instantly panic.  My wife and kids could get on that ride and love it.  I get sick just looking at it!

Ken

I'm hopeful I can be of some help with your dog problem.

I've been a dog man my whole life and have a successful experience of training practices.  It gets a little more difficult mid stream in a dogs life when they are somewhat set in thier ways.  Especially if they were pre-owned in abuse.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks is not true,  although it's harder to achieve then working with an adolescent dog.

The most important rule in dog training is that the dog realizes who packmaster is.  In the wild packmaster was another dog in the pack.  When you own a dog the packmaster is always you or should be.  Training any dog must be in submission of this before you can work with them on any other training.

I would Google on the internet Cesar Millan.  He is a master in dog training.  I have never looked but I would have to believe he has some kind of website dealing with problem solving, behavior problems with dogs.

I hope this will help.

Or you can just give me another shout.  I haven't heard from you for a while.

Speak for your self.Laugh My gut will be staying well clear of my belt thankyou very much.

Well, I hope the Bank of America has been slain, finally. After talking to my advisors up here about how to deal with them, knowing I am dealing with several banks in the U.S. they suggested talking to them on how to deal with the Bank of America. I got enough info to get things rolling. The people in the other institutions referred to the BoA as a pariah and another as a cult and the third said they are a stain on the US banking industry. Anyway, in three to five months we will not have to deal with them again. The other six banks I am dealing with are great fully recognizing my POA.

I burned off another 1500 calories on the bike today and then hit the weights for 15 minutes. Knowing full well I would have to pay the price for being a gluttonous pig over the last ten days I am right back to where I should be on the scale. It all started when I ate a whole large pizza along with a lot of Rum and Pepsi about ten days back and I always let my guard down at Christmas but my brain is like a ticker in that it is aware of every calorie that goes in and I make sure I burn it off. Normally I just eat whatever I want because I adjust my burn accordingly, but with Christmas being so busy workouts get missed. Anyway, my BP was 108/66/HR54 today so I am happy.

Someone gave me a large bottle of Glenfiddich 18 today just because. I think it will be cracked open post haste tonight, good Whisky is almost not worth counting on the calorie front, unlike Rum that contains a small splash of Pepsi, it is the pop that is evil.Laugh

TF, you appear to be rich in family and enjoying all the company they afford you. You have a glow about you in all your photos, it's a lucky man looking at us. I am fortunate having a great family and plenty of friends that keep buying me booze.Laugh So cheers to you and all the rest of the gang here, now where is that Glenfiddich!

One thing I left off of my Orlando Christmas Trip Report I posted earlier.

.

This trip included a stop at Colonial Photo and Hobby in Orlando. This is my all-time favorite hobby shop. I have been going there since before I was 10 years old.

.

It looks really sick in there. They never fully restocked after Christmas 2018, and there was very little in there to buy and browse through. The shelves in the train section had large empty spaces. R/C and plastic models were all well stocked, but it was slim pickings in the train section.

.

I have a feeling my old friend is in very bad shape.

Starting to worry about Dirk Pip Behavioral Problems. Longer we have him the more aggressive he is becoming. To us, he is sweet as he can be. But he is going more into attack dog mode in puplic now. Took him into my Bank today and he was fine at first. Then a female employee walked by and he went Full Cujo on her. A mad Doberman Pinscher and nothing on him when it comes to sounding mean.

Later none smoking Ken and Dirk say Snarl, Snarl, Bark, Snarl. Sigh

Yep...... Makes sense to me MLC.  That barn wood has been in the sun and the weathering elements shrinking it for years.  We've all been doing nothing but eat, drink and be merry.

Now that you brought it up, I just loosened my belt to the third loop hole since ThankgivingWhistling

It was the Third Day of Christmas, and all through the house,  not a creature was stirring...... except for JudyLaugh

Well..... ya see,  she had this bright Idea that since she worked yesterday on my birthday that maybe she should bring me out for a late birthday lunch.

It sounded fun but at the same token I'm thinking not again.  Overindulgence,  that's what it is.

So we go to Buca Di Peppo.  The best Italian restaurant in the midwest as far as I'm concerned.

Spinach Artichoke Heart Queso dip and Christmas chips for starters.

Judy takes pictures of everything.

Chicken Marsala and Cheese Manicotti Formaggio for the main coarse.

Sorry we already dug in and how could you not.  By the way we were already full before this even came.  The house bread and appetizer was plenty.

Then she embarrassed me with the whole staff coming over and singing Happy Birthday serving me this big Lollapalooza thing.

I had already loosened my belt another notch before this dessert Fit For A King came to the table.

Honestly folks,  I took one bite and had them put it into a foil box to take home tooLaugh

There's only 3 Days of Christmas..... Right?

I always was a big fan of the Barnwood,  especially the shiplap.  When it was weathered for so many years it possessed different tones of tan and gray with the hints of the colors the barn used to be, it always looked the best.

With all that in mind, shouldn't we all look better and better every year as we get olderLaugh

a club in UK, which had fallen victim to an act of vandalism by brainless juveniles.

.

The destruction to the club in the UK was much more severe and made world news for how completely mailicious it was. The event that Ed linked to does not sound anything similar. It just sounds like a quick grab and getaway.

.

I am surprised it even made the local news.

Sure is disappointing when someone comes along and spoils something good that folks are trying to do.

And not all clubs have a friend like Sir Rod Stewart, who donated a sizable amount to a club in UK, which had fallen victim to an act of vandalism by brainless juveniles.

Happy times!

Had to put the shorts away for today.  Back in the 30's and no sun. The last 2 days, in the 50's and sun, I cooked our Christmas "beast" (New York strip roast) on the grill Christmas Day, with sun shine and shorts!

I'd post the vanity and bathroom collection I built, out of reclaimed wood,  for our place up north, and presented it all to the wife for her Christmas present, BUT, Photobucket has not been found yet.  Still lost in space. Grumpy

She was ecstatic over it all.  I'm a happy man.

Good Evening!

I had some quality time with Christian, our son, who came for a visit. Petra is now taking him to the train station. We ate too much good stuff, talked a lot and had a great time. Should we move to Denmark next year, times like that will become even more precious.

Kevin - what is this? A house? Looks like a big garage with built in kitchen and "loo".

Talking of changing gifts - Petra never changed a gift I bought for her.  She may have liked some more than others, but even the at first "unloved" gifts turned into treasures after a while.

Happy times!

They have been going like crazy on the new house across the street while I was away. In four days, which included Christmas Eve and Christmas, they put in all the interior framing, roof trusses, and sheathing.

The speed that this house is going up with is impressive.

Thanks Ed,  I'll take a half of a single.  I never did too well with whiskey but thanks.

My Son sent me a picture today I never seen before for my birthday when I held my Grandson for the first time in North Dakota weeks ago.

From what I understand he waited until I showed up and he changed his son's clothes to blue and gray so we would match together because my son is like that.

If there is ever such a thing as too big of a smile, I am guilty of it.

This picture warmed my heart today.  Xavier my new Grandson.
