One of the supermarkets here carries whole wheat hot dog buns that are very good.
Since my wife became unable to eat white bread, I have not been eating it either, and now I love wheat bread.

A while back I posted how Judy's blood pressure was sky-high. Also her cholesterol and triglycerides are Sky High as well. She's never been a pill person, neither have I. Now she has to take three pills a day for these ailments and has a blood pressure monitor at home.
I don't have health insurance because I'm self-employed. I took my blood pressure with her home device and my blood pressure is Sky High.
Because of that fact I'm eating like her and doing everything that she is now. It was a little hard getting used to these unsalted peanuts

TF, would be worth double checking at one of the machines at a pharmacy. My wife has one of those home blood pressure machines to monitor hers. It consistently reads higher than the one at the doctor's office. Even took it in with her once to see if her bp was for some reason lower there. I want to say it was reading something like 15 points higher than the doctor's.

Sorry I have not been posting much. I am sure you are tired of me posting about crazy Employees and Customers. Plus having Dirk Pip the American Eskimo has changed my life for the good, and the bad.
The good part is I love him and he loves me! That makes up for a lot of the down side of Dog ownership!
Down side is ever reason I did not want another dog and it has been for filled! Wife cannot control him when he see's another dog on a lead walking by. He hates Mail Trucks and goes nuts! If she has him outside when one goes by he goes bonkers! He won't do #1 or #2 in our yard? Take him a cross the street to a mail box he gets things done. Problem is wife is afraid to take him a cross the street because someone may be walking there dog or a mail truck may drive by.
So I now have to walk him in the morning before work for #1 and after I get home from work for #2. On my days off not that bad. Getting ready to take him out now for #2. Work days, well I still love him!

Any professional criminal should know, if you steal a trailer take the cookies out of the cookie jar and dump the trailer.
This high ass was pulling my trailer at 4:15 in the morning in Maplewood and drunk.

Now get this. I will have to pay a $240 impound fee to get my trailer back after the police are done with investigation. That may be refunded to me somehow later through insurance or court restitution

Oh yeah, the valve leaked around the edges when some sutures broke. It was more than $100k to fix that.

Afternoon all, it is a high OC and 15c on the West Coast.
Went to the auction house and they have a ton of refrigerators there so the wife may throw in a bid or two on Saturday, she can do it online. There was also a box full of dog brushes that sell for $30.00 apiece in the store so she has an eye on that. She will give them to new puppy owners if she wins the lot.
My blood pressure gets taken by me four times a week before I do my hard cardio. It is usually 110/70 HR55 range give or take 10 pts. Being old I make sure things are workin right before putting the pedal to the medal.
1300 people a day die from smoking in the U.S. and a 1000people a day die from obesity. My view is if you want to do something about it you will, just look at Cuda Ken and quitting smoking. I always roll my eyes heavenward when I hear someone had to get a part-time job to pay for their BP meds. They could just exercise 30 minutes 4x a week, eat properly instead and not need them.
TF, if those all-beef weiners are really just beef there should be nothing else on the ingredients list but beef. Go to a butcher and get real beef weiners made on the premises with no preservatives. You can freeze them to store them longer.
Preservatives/phosphates found in process meat and a host of other things will add 10 pts to your BP as does coffee. Anti-inflammatories will add a lot to your BP (ibuprofen) find out what foods and/or meds increase your BP and don't use them.
We eat bacon, beef, beef weiners and a whole host of other things. The difference is we buy it all fresh, no processed food. Our spaghetti sauce is fresh tomatoes, garlic, onions and so on thrown in the blender and then a pot. Canned foods are really bad for you. Check the ingredient list, on anything you buy. If there is more than the one ingredient on it go by it fresh.
To properly take your blood pressure, sit still in a chair for 5 minutes and then take it with feet on the floor. Store BP machines are not a good place to do BP because generally, people go from running around to hoping in the chair and hitting the button. The best time to take your BP is get up in the morning, pee and go sit in the chair for 5 minutes then take it. Peoples BP can be all over the map throughout the day. My BP can be up in the 130s/70 if I am working hard the difference is it goes right back down to 110/70 within a couple of minutes of me sitting down. If it doesn't go back to a healthy level then you have a problem. Henry is the Doctor in the house maybe he can explain BP issues better than I can.
Kevin, I agree with what you said about buffets on cruise ships, I hate buffets anywhere, I like to be waited on while sitting and enjoying a fine glass of wine or a good cup of coffee. I see people stampeding to the buffet like cattle. The gluttony is just gross, some people eat more at every meal than I do in two or three days on these ships.
I wish Rapido would get my Hudson back to me, it has been over a month now, I have trains built that need a Hudson on point.
I think we will go on our three-mile circuit with the dogs through the hundred-acre wood, there is just enough time before dark.

When my Mom had her quintuple bypass it didn't cost her a dime. She came home and had in house care and that didn't cost her a dime and then she went to cardio exercise class at the local hospital for months and that was free.
Between paying the Insurance premiums and deductibles and whatever other costs you may have I would think that stress would put a real dent in your quality of life.
When I go to the Doctor, I just walk in and walk out. No paperwork and my wallet never comes out. Just like on Star Trek!

As Henry stated, his insurance paid all but a couple thousand.
I had employer insurance my whole career which covered everything for me and my wife -- medical, dental, prescriptions, vision, and disability.
Since retirement, I buy an inexpensive insurance policy that combines with Medicare and pays for all medical and prescription coverage. Just like you, I walk in, walk out, and I don't pay anything. In June, my wife and I had our every-five-year colonoscopies. Total bill was north of $15,000. We didn't pay anything.
The only downside is that vision and dental are now not covered.
Listening to political talk on the news, one would guess that 95% of U.S. citizens are dying from lack of medical care because they can't afford it, or they are in bankruptcy caused by medical bills. Actually, people get medical care whether they can pay or not. Every hospital has signs in the admitting rooms describing how to get care if you have no money. The Washington Post reported that only 4% of U.S. bankruptcies are caused by medical bills.

When I took down my layout and moved, I had hoped to just put it back together, splice and reconnect a few wires and go. Instead, the trains sat in storage for a year, and the biggest section would not even get up the stairs. So, it sits on its side in the garage.
Today I started taking it apart, hoping to save some parts but trashing a lot, too. So far, I have been saving the Code 100 track. And some Hydrocal castings. If I ever rebuild the subways, they will be completely different.
I still haven't found my train tools, so I might need at least a new pair if rail nippers.

I have tinitis and some hearing loss from when I was in the Navy in Vietnam. When it was time to have my hearing checked because of the hearing loss being very noticeable about five years ago, I qualified for free hearing aids for life from the VA, too, Brother Lion.

I am SO GLAD my penguins atart their nhl season this week, and my nascar driver made it to the next round of the playoffs(don't get me started on that stupid call from nascar brass). Tje guy had a strut break in his car during the race. He made it in by 13 points.
Work is going well... payday this week oh and....... BONUS. Ive also been thinking of getting a college education-perhaps medical billing and coding. Minor in photography. My Friday night was good- I played an open mic night and it bAsically turned into a Springsteen tribute night- every one played at least one Bruce song.
Saturday night was huge for me; MY LAYOUT IS RUNNING! I still need to wire everything up to the bus wire, but it works! Except i managed to fry a loksound decoder on dc. No idea why though. So ive got bugs to work through

The wife and I went up and checked out the auction stuff on Friday hoping to snag a new high-end fridge for cheap. They retail at around $5000.00, most went in the 1800.00 range, we get lucky sometimes but never chase an item, didn't get one. While there I found boxes of high-end pet (mostly dog) products off to the side in a bunch of boxes. The wife got it all by bidding online for $25.00. My daughter and wife added it all up when they brought it home as it all had the prices marked on them, the grand total retail was $4382.63 and of course, she only paid the tax on the $25.00 at the auction house. She could never use it all in ten lifetimes so she will be giving a lot of it away to her doggie friends.
I love my lamb MR, had it twice in two weeks at our favourite Greek joint that looks out over the Pacific Ocean and the BNSF tracks. On a good day, we will see Humpback whales and a couple of trains while the red wine and lamb disappears.
Daughter came home for the weekend, it was good to see her and give her a hug. Took her for sushi on Saturday night and heard the tales of University life. She is finding it quite easy compared to her academically demanding school where she went from K-12. She is interested in medical forensics more than ever now, looking at dead bodies isn't my idea of fun but whatever floats your boat. I would get to the RCMP forensics lab in Vancouver quite often if some sensitive material needed careful transport to someplace via an aeroplane, it was an interesting place, I'll give you that.
She has joined the equestrian club and will be coming back to the mainland for an event in early November. She also took my classical guitar back with her as she misses music terribly and has a new friend that plays very well and will teach her. She already plays the piano, clarinet and cello so what's one more.
Has anyone noticed the aftermarket price on some of the Rapido Super Continental coaches? They were a hot topic of discussion on some of the Canadian RR FB pages over the weekend. I told the wife not to just chuck them in the garbage if I croak.
