I just wanted to let you know Mike, I really admire this bridge you scratch built. I have to scratch build all the bridges on my layout. I've been plugging away and I have four of the eight that I need. Structured but unfinished.
I have one bridge that I have reconsidered after looking at your bridge that you built. I by no means will copy it. The bridge I need is a straight Bridge, unlike the beautiful curved bridge you displayed.
I just wanted to let you know you gave me some inspiration here. I will be designing and building a cement bridge in an area that just fits an application like this.
Thanks for sharing Mike.
Track Fiddler
Carry on.
Well thank you TF. The bidge deck of the finished bridge is what you see in the "pink" photo, with added cardboard parapets, the columns are cut from dry wall, all the parts were coated with a couple coats of drywall mud, finished, painted, and weathered, just a little.
The deck comes off so I can get my hands into the hiddedn track area behind it.
The retaining wall is the same, cut from dry wall and coated with mud.
So lets keep the before and after going.

mbinsewi Terry I sure like your weathering! Are you part of the Weathering Shop? (I think I got the name right?) Mike.
Hi Mike, thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it!
I am a forum member of The Weather Shop, but not a member of the staff (if that makes sense). That forum is probably where I get most of my tips, suggestions, directions and constructive criticism on weathering. They're a great bunch of people and have developed some valuable friendships. Most of us get together every year at the St Louis RPM so we can see our stuff in reality. I still have plenty of learning to do.
I don't have a container yard either, so carry on!

Thank you for the kind words on my N scale curved Trestle bridge. That was quite a compliment. I am honored. It Took some time and planning. I actually built the bridge first and designed the layout around the structure. First time I did something like that. More pics on my Flickr page. Thanks again.
