I just bought a Rivarossi 4-8-4 Northern #8444 that was made in the late 80's. The person I bought it from never had a layout and only bought it because the actual engine passed through his town in Colorado a couple of times. It was never run and kept in a display case. When I went to put it on my layout it did not work. I took it to a hobby shop and they said that the motor was fine, their was a direct short in the frame. They are reriviting my engine. Has anyone ever experienced this with their engine?

Thanks,

dwfin1985
