There's some info on the process HERE.
Hi DH.
Although not very common, small detail parts on models may become misaligned during either the assembly process or the packaging stage.
Ed's suggestion is a good one, but proceed carefully. I just checked the underside on one of my Rapido Budd cars and it is quite cramped down there!
Can you post photos?
"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"
BigDaddyWhat does this even mean?
It means the undercar appliances were slightly misaligned at assembly. Jason Shron of Rapido goes all out to provide lots of details on the undercarriage. Some parts inadvertently get misaligned at assembly or in shipping.
I have carefully pried some of these details free and simply re-cemented them in a better position. It is not a common occurrence.
Good Luck, Ed
