I just finished building a small N scale switching layout for a friend and used the Evans Design software to create and print out building facades I glued to sheet styrene cores. These buildings were intended to act as stand-ins until my friend could build his own kit or scratch replacement buildings. However, it was pretty amazing how good these "temporary" buildings came out in N scale. Had I added a few 3D details, they would have looked fantastic! I won't be surprised if several of them are still on the layout a few years from now.

Good lead. I will check my latest MR and make some calls tomorrow. Thank you
Ira
In the back of all of the MR issues are classified ads for people buying "train collections of any size" lock, stock, and barrel. They might have what your looking for.
Someone ought to start a website where LHS's could post their hard to find merchandise. I'll bet somewhere in the good ole USA there is more than one of those bottling plant kits lying around. No pricing allowed, just a listing of what is available for hard to find locos, rolling stock and structures. No other stuff that is readily available. The web site manager could filter in and out the acceptable items.

I called both Trinmaster Hobbies and Zitnik trains and neither has the Heljan kit at this time. They will be looking for one for me. In the meantime any new leads would be greatly appreciated
The bitter pill is that you could pay Ebay's $300 and see it at the next good swap meet new-in-box for $10.
There are a couple of third tier hobby shops here in town that are so unpopular due to the owners that they have the unintended virtue of being like a visit to the Walthers catalog of 15+ years ago, preserved in amber - assuming the smell (and visuals) of the feline digestive process does not scare you off.

NittanyLion That story appears to be that the one listed on eBay is for $300. Leads me to believe that it is one of those impossible to find things

You believe right. I gulped and paid $95 for a kit on ebay since the original manufacturer went out of business years ago.

Thanks for the leads. I will cll them today. Any other leads will be greatly appreciated.
SeeYou190EXCEPT EBAY in all capitals. There must be a story there.
caldreamerI am in need of help find a Heljan/ConCor N scale Bottling Plant kit. Kit number is N679. If you have one or know of someone/hobby shop that has one, EXCEPT EBAY
.
Wow, EXCEPT EBAY in all capitals. There must be a story there.
If you are unwilling to use eBay, your best bet is hobby shops that buy collections and sell used merchandise. Finding one new on the shelf is not very likely.
In Buford, Georgia, there is Trainmaster Hobbies, that has a couple aisles of used merchandise.
In Saint Peteresberg, Florida there is Zitnik Trains that buys a lot of collections for resale.
You should try calling them. If the stores are not too busy, they might be able to look at their stock for you. I cannot say for sure that either of them do mail order or what shipping charges would be.
Certainly eBay is your best option at the great worldwide garage sale that it is. If you take that off of the table you are unneccessarily making this more difficult.

Living the dream.
Walthers part #322-679, however it is sold out and there is no indication if it will be restocked. Something tells me that it is eithe ebay or find another structure.
Seems some can be find on Ebay at low price, but seems you are not ready to go on Ebay unfortunately.
