Flexible $466 is more expensive than Value $263 or Business $278, but if you want a bed to sleep in  $717

Last year Canadian Pacific offered a coast to coast fare for somewhere around $200.00 Cdn IIRC. That was for Coach. Can you imagine spending 10 days sitting/sleeping in a coach seat?!? If you wanted to go in comfort and be fed the price was exponentially greater! Somewhere around $7500.00 Cdn for First Class, and that was just one way.

That's way beyond what I can afford. Oh well, we can always dream about winning the big one!

Sorry Mel, Off Topic

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!

I'd like to see that but 1,677 miles away would be 6 days of driving round trip.

Just for grins: Amtrak  18hrs DC to Chicago, 18 hrs Chicago to Denver, a bus to Cheyenne plus travel to DC comes in at 51 hours, almost twice the estimated drive time.
