Ultrasonic cleaner

Anybody ever put a locomotive mechanism in an ultrasonic cleaner?

I have the right to remain silent.  By posting here I have given up that right and accept that anything I say can and will be used as evidence to critique me.

I experimented with the ultrasonic cleaner I had at work many years ago with an eBay Rivarossi clunker and it survived OK.  I still have the restored clunker and it runs very good.  There are quite a few types of cleaning fluids for ultrasonic cleaners so be careful selecting one that is plastics safe.

That was about 15 years ago and as with almost everything there have been a lot of changes in 15 years.
