I vote for Pacific Dark Green 2061
However, it really depends on what you are using for your reference. The Alco's are a much lighter and not very attractive green, IMHO, while the GP7's on this page are much darker green.

There are several pictures of engine 1601 and they are totally differnent color greens. Was that a function of color reproduction, pictures taken years apart? 1602 looks a little blue green, by comparison.
Unless you were there, you don't know if 1601 right pic, or left pic or 1602 is the correct color. I'd say pick the one you like and that's the right one.

I don't see a PC green on my colour chart for those paints, but I also don't see a green, including those which you mention, that matches the prototype colour all that well, either. The closest that I see is either 061-NP Dark Green, 019-Southern Green, or 079-BNSF Green, but all three of those are still too dark, in my opinion.Had I not looked at the colour chart, my guess would have been Southern's Apple Green, not offered by Minuteman/Scalecoat, but some other manufacturer may have it.I have to wonder, though, that if you cannot decide which is closest, why would you accept what someone else would consider closest? If you know that a colour is not right, then it would seem to me that you would also recognise when a colour is right.

I have four geeps i want to paint as Michigan Northern Railway. Does anyone know what would be the closest match for Michigan Northern Green suing Minuteman Scale Models' line of Scalecoat II 6oz spray cans of green paint? Close possibilities are Pullman Green, C&NW Green, PC Green, Southern Green, and Reading Green.
