Just to show that there is always a prototype...

 

As activity picks up in Virginia's coal country, I recently saw diesels marked for Canadian Pacific, Union Pacific, BNSF, and Norfolk Southern all within a mile of each other in a 6 track yard.

Kind of like what you'll find on my layout, at any given time.  Laugh  Throw in some CN and WC.

Sometimes the engine service facility at the BNSF yard in Galesburg IL can resemble what you see at some club layouts - no "discipline" in road names whatever Wink
