AzBajaMost HO scale buildings and structers are selectivly compressed to about half of the True Size, But with "N" scale being almost half the size of HO this makes the HO industrial type buildings almost perfect true to scale "N" scale structers.
A fine example of that would be the old Hejan N Scale Brewery Malt House that was a slim down HO structure that was marketed in both scales.

Yes, you need to rework some doors, Stairs and hand rails but once that is done. No on will ever notice that this was HO and in fact is more True to scal in "N" scale than ever it was in HO.
Walthers Cornerstone - Tanker Truck Loading Rack - Walthers Part # 933-3169 & Oil Loading Platform - Walthers Part # 933-3104 both work fine for "N" The 1st is better. Cut hand rails to "N" scale height.
I cut the handrails to half height, just above the middle rail and do not install the cover/roof and the Truck loading platform is perfect for "N" scale tank cars.
The Oil Loading Platform works when you cut the legs in half and hand rails down to the middle rail. Stairs are out of scale buy you can buy detail parts to replace them or just do not put figures near them and most people will never notice.
More bonus fun the old walthers N scale Oil Storage Tank 933-3223 that is no longer made and people are asking outrages amounts of money for it on ebay. It is the same tank used in the Kibri Twin Fuel Storage Tanks - Walthers Part # 405-39832 - Just like in the "N" scale kit you cut the hand rails down to the 2nd rail and you have 2 tanks for about $16 each or you can buy the one listed on ebay for $65
Speaking of tanks the Cornerstone Wide Oil Storage Tank in HO - Walthers Part # 933-3167 Is a True "N" scale proto size tank. 100' scale feet wide by 50' scale feet tall. It is the same size as real tanks at the local fuel farms. I have 5 off them on my "N" scale layout and with the tank cars next to them it looks just like the real thing. Just cut the hand rails to the middle rail and do not put people next to the stairs or use a caged ladder etc. to get onto them.
The HO Heljan High Rise Building kit 322-1713 is not HO, But it is the ConCor "N" Lech Memorial Hospital/Hotel reboxed and sold as HO scale - Walthers Part # 222-684
I'm using the Walthers Part # 933-3098 Cornerstone Valley Cement Plant minus the silos for a more true to scale "N" scale cement plant on my layout. Need to rework some HO scale doors, but if you truly look at this building it looks as if it is a true "N" scale building but they up sized the doors to make it HO.
Other buildings that are HO but realy should be a True to scale "N" scale building and with a little work it can be made into "N"
Glacier Industrial Sands/Black Gold Asphalt Hot Mix Plant - Walthers Part # 933-4035/Walthers Part # 933-3085 comes with shorter legs for truck loading, but the short legs work perfect for "N" scale rail cars
Blue Star Ready Mix Walthers Part # 933-3086 - Truck loading bay is perfect for "N"scale rail cars - Make it into a Coal flood loader etc.
Key learning if it has HO scale Truck loading it is perfect for "N" scale Rail car loading. You might need to omit things like office buildings or change doors from HO to N but Seems most HO builds are Half the size of the real world prototype and this makes them close to perfect true scale N scale buildings.
