Is there a way to narrow a search by combing two or more words using AND, and limit the search to articles that use both words? For example, I was looking for articles on constructing buildings with flat roofs so I entered "Flat Roof" in the search box for the years 2007 - 2017. What I got was 3,037 results that included flatcars, roof brown paint, etc. There should be a way to narrow the search.
By any chance did You try ''Flat Roofing''?
Just curious!
Take Care!

Putting in Flat Roof and limiting it to Model Railroader in the years 2007 to 2017, I got only 1 hit, an article on modeling flat roofs by Lance Mindheim in January 2011.

I did, Frank. Same result.
I used the advance search, Randy. I should have mentioned that in my original post.
Yes, I would like to know that also. Perhaps google would work and have it search only this webpage?
I got the same, Randy. I'll have to look at the issue in the archives, and see what it is all about.
Mike.
EDIT: Just checked it out. Good info on making different types of flat roofs, from membrane to pea gravel, and the mechanical equipment you see on flat roofs.

Randy, that's good to know but it missed other articles. For example, the August 2008 issue had an article on "Upgrading Structure Roofs" that had an excellent discussion of creating tar paper roofs, on page 64.

OK Dave, I just did the same search, entering Roof in the big search box, years 2007-2017, MRR magazine, and got 7 results, among them, the article in Jan, 2011 and the article you mentioned, Aug., 2008.
I guess you have to mix it up and try different wording.
