I just recieved the Kato sound box and am very pleased overall. I run a small bedroom sized layout on dc only, so this was a great sound option for me. My only problem is it won't work with my Athearn genesis F7 diesels. It shows the short warning and that is all I get. I don't know if anyone is familiar with this system, but if so do you have any idea what the problem may be? It works with Athearn genesis steam. Proto diesels etc.

Try a different power pack to see if the short still exists. If it does, then something is wrong with that F7. If the short disappears, then something is wonky with the Kato Sound Box.
