I will add my wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends south of the border! I hope you are able to enjoy your time with family and friends.

We Canadians celebrated our Thanksgiving a little over a month ago but the spirit still remains, and I actually think I am finally over the heartburn from eating far too much on the occassionSmile, Wink & Grin.

Thanks to y'all, Peter, Dave, Frank, Bear, and all the wonderful folks who we get to interact with, be entertained by, and learn from here on the forum.

Safe travels for everyone traveling by train...and all those less entertaining modes of travel.

Happy Thanksgiving to all those south of the border, and also in Alaska, because I know there are model railroaders there.

Forty Wild Turkies walking about the back yard, and what do we have for breakfast? HAM!... Actually Eggs Benedict. I suspect there will only be 38 wild turkies in the back yard tomorrow morning.

Happy Thanksgiving from the LION and the Council of Felids.

Happy Thanksgiving folks!!!! It is up to 1 degree now. Just a tad bit chilly. :) If you have the Destination America channel and nothing else to watch or do today, they are showing a real time ride on the Alaska Rail Road.

I took my snow fighting equipment out of storage today in anticipation of forecasted winter storms in the mountains. This includes a flanger, a couple of Jordan spreaders, and a rotary snowplow with it's matching F7 B unit. But today turned out to be a nice day so I ran my steam excursion in the afternoon sun.

Tonight after the big meal I’m going to try to rush as many through freights over the pass before the snow starts falling. Eventually I will have to mix the snowplows into the parade of trains to keep the pass open. Then finally run the last passenger train getting the people off to their holiday destinations.

Happy Thanksgiving.Cool
