Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I may be able to find some of the spring wire used with the Tortise switch machines.

Many craft and hobby shops carry it. It comes in 3 foot lengths. Ask for Piano Wire and get the next size larger for better results. :-)

As Roger Hensley said, piano wire or music wire is a common hobby shop item. The Walthers catalog lists it as music wire, and they carry the K&S brand.

I believe Circuitron supplies .032" wire, but I use .047" on my Tortoise motors for more positive action with handlaid turnouts.

So long,
