Show Me Something April 2015 Edition
Posted by Kyle on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 3:58 AM

Welcome to the April 2105 Edition of Show Me Something.

Show me a maglev, diesels are so last century.

April Fools.Smile, Wink & GrinLaughLaughLaugh

This is the April 2015 Edition, when diesels still rule the steel rails of the prototype.  In the spirit of April 1st, Show Me another April Fools joke.

I knew I should have gotten a photo of something that happened on the club layout. We had a club member's CSX loco pulling a pennsy streamlined coach with a Penn Central caboose. He hates PC  lol.

(My Model Railroad, My Rules)

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway.  As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).

Old uncle Albert was down at the still checking out the quality of the major ingredient in the "Sisters Special Remedy" today, when he spotted something in the woods nearby!  He is now running up the trail to the house screaming his head off....   Hmmmmmm.

More April Fools please...

Aah, for a peaceful moment in the outhouse... Hey! What's goin' on!

Nothing like a little innocent outhouse tipping for a jolly good time!

I am bumping this thread to the top.

In the March thread, I just now explained the best way to post photos from Photobucket.

If Steven Ott happens to read this, I suggest another sticky in which he explains how to post photos. (He is a much better writer than I am)

To keep this thread moving.

April First is over, but here is a whimsical scene anyhow.

It is April. Please show flowers in your scenery .

Here are some tracks.  But the scene is in Plywood City, where the roadbed is cork, not ballasted, and the ties are only glued, not spikes, with huge latex caulk guns.  Not sure whether the lack of finishing is due to budget constraints or the lack of motivation of the tracklaying crew:

Show me a finished scene including trackage.

You have demonstrated the ability to create a good layout but I have to offer one critisim and I hope not to offend.

Some of us modlers install so much track it is described as a spaghetti bowl, but in your case imo you have gone in the opposite direction. You really need to think about adding more track.

Good luck and I mean well.

Let's stick with something new

Bob

Yes. This is "Morency Orange" (CN orange #10).

The color appears more red on this photo. I should have use a better one.

It has been a day without a red diesel locomotive, and we have fallen to page two.  Let's keep the thread going by expanding the request to a diesel locomotive of any color.
